About

Spanish singer/songwriter Julio Iglesias is proof that romance is alive and well. The passionate balladeer was officially recognized by Guinness World Records in 2013 as the best-selling male Latin artist of all time with more than 250 million albums sold worldwide. He's also one of the world's most successful touring artists, one who continues to sell huge numbers of tickets for shows at arenas and stadiums around the world. Iglesias has released more than 80 albums, in 14 languages, over the course of his career, which peaked from the late'70s through the '80s. In North America, he's best known for two duets from the '80s: "To All the Girls I've Loved Before" (with Willie Nelson) and "All of You" (with Diana Ross). Ironically, Iglesias may owe his storied career to a near-tragedy. He turned to music when he was 20 years old, after he was paralyzed in a car accident that ended his career as a goalkeeper for the Real Madrid soccer team. He's said that he learned to play guitar while recovering over the course of three years, and eventually regained almost all of his mobility. In 1968 he won a songwriting contest that led to his first recording contract.  The following year he released his debut album, "Yo Canto," in Spain. By 1971, he'd sold his first million records and begun to expand his fan base throughout the Spanish and English speaking world.

    Bringing back Alf memories

by R. M. on 2/18/19Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land - Sugar Land

Great show. Julio’s voice is the same than 50 years ago. Being at the concert transported me to my young years at the 70’s and 80’s, bringing back very nice memories. I had a wonderful time.

    Me Vas

by R. on 2/18/19Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land - Sugar Land

His first performance on this tour His voice remains superb. The production with Tango enjoyable a duet of "All the Girls etc" poor as the other guy forgot the words. Some mishap on accoustics, high pitch noise. The Financial center has great access and good seating, a preferred place to see concerts. Large speaker equipment does interfere with view if placed front stage and for seats at front 10 rows.

    Loved it

by S. V. on 2/18/19Smart Financial Centre at Sugar Land - Sugar Land

I have loved Julio since I was like 11 years old. The show was heart touching, the only thing me as an audience notice was the awful sound of the band, besides that, it was great. His voice is still smoth and ethereal.

    Worst Concert Ever!

by Anonymous on 9/27/16Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley Center

Concert lasted 1 hr. exactly. He boasted about his sex life for half an hour and the other half hour he sang other people's material. He even sang the same song twice. He walked off stage and didn't even acknowledge his fans or said "adios" ! He mentioned he had a cold. If he wasn't feeling well, he should have cancelled not give this absolutely Horrible performance. He spoke in English and then translated into Spanish. His accent is so bad that even bilinguals like me had a hard time understanding either language.

It was a waste of time and money

by QPham on 9/21/16Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley Center

Julio spent most of the time talking than singing during 1 hour concert. At the end he just exit the stage without any warnings in the middle of the song, left the back up singers and the band finished the show without any curtain call. It was very casual and tacky. He lost the charisma as well as the voice. It was very difficult to understand the ballads. I do not recommend to see his show. Stay home and enjoy the CD

I have been to many Julio concerts since the 1980's. This is the worst one. His show lasted only 1 hour and the majority of the time he talked about women so he ended up only singing 30 minutes. He did not even finish his last song "Me Va" and left without saying proper good bye to the audience. This is very disrespectful . He is lazy, getting old and his voice is declining. I recommend do not go to his concert ever again because you are wasting your money and will leave in frustration.

    Julio's show was very Short!!!

by Mgll on 9/20/16Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley Center

Never was told that the show was going to be only an hour. Drove from 2 hours away to only be able to see an hour show. Wish I could've had more time to enjoy. I took my mom since it was a concert she had been wanting to go for many years. I grew up listening to him and unfortunately can't say I would spend money on his concert again if he only will perform for 1 hr. So sad because I wish I could have given my mom a nice birthday gift at the concert. Wish ticketmaster or the casino would have saved me the money and time.

    Julio Iglesias was Disappointing

by 2323let on 9/20/16Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley Center

I just want to say that I was very very disappointed with the Julio Iglesias concert that took place on September 15, 2016 at Harrah's Casino SoCal. The concert started at 8pm and immediately ended at 9pm sharp! Just an hour into the concert Julio thanked the crowd and walked off the stage. At first I thought it was a joke and that he would return, but he didn't!!! I paid $200.00 and I definitely don't think I got my money's worth!! Everyone there at the concert was in disbelief as to what had happened. No apology or explanation was given and I think we definitely did deserve one! I think that everyone should be reimbursed for at least 50% of what they paid, since we only received half of the product (1-hour of concert time). I will definitely think twice before attending another Julio Iglesias concert or any event at that venue!!

Julio played for less than an hour.

by WillECal on 9/19/16Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley Center

Julio must have still been sick. He played for 50 minutes. No encore. Not many songs either. He told stories and joked a lot between songs. He was great but the quality was sub par and the concert was very very short.

    Concert was cut short

by Jade21 on 9/19/16Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley Center

We were waiting for this concert since back in March when we originally bought the tickets. It was rescheduled to September. The day was finally here and Julio came out signing beautifully. After a couple of songs he seemed frustrated with the band and sound crew; the melody was off. Then Julio announced he was going to sign a song that he wrote with Sin Banderas and ended up signing a song that he already had sung in the beginning of the show. He was very upset and in the middle of which seemed to be the finally song walked off the stage. The concert literally lasted only 50 min. I was very disappointed and would like my money back if I could.

    Julio Iglesias was very disappointing

by Triny on 9/19/16Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley Center

I always wanted to see Julio at least once in my life time, concert was scheduled at 8 pm, we got there ten minutes before and it already started, the concert lasted an hour but kept talking about his life and sex and drinking water, all together he sang maybe eight songs, some of those are not even his own songs that made him famous, he sang someone else's song along with probably two of his own, he still has that unique voice but I think he should retire, I love concerts but this was way too short, I heard the audience talking in disbelief, very very disappointed

    Terrible concert

by dianne0616 on 9/19/16Harrah's Resort SoCal - The Events Center - Valley Center

The artist was rude to his musicians, inappropriate and crude with the audience, and just bad in general. Sure he can still sing, he has the talent, but he was really rude. Concert lasted an hour and he simply walked off stage. He did not come back for an encore or even to say goodbye to the audience. I would not recommend, stick to the CDs.
