Hands down. She is a singular talent, and her show exhibited that.

    An Incredible Night!!!!

by Anonymous on 10/30/17Town Hall - New York

Being able to see Julien Baker in concert was more amazing than I had even hoped. This concert left my emotionally wrecked but in such a good way. If you know her music already, going to a concert is worth every penny or logistical headache! It's incredible! If you don't know her music but you get a chance, absolutely go. You will be opened up to the most exquisitely crafted, emotionally raw music of your life. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars. This venue was good too, pretty intimate for an auditorium set-up and the staff were friendly.

    The Real Deal...

by OyRoy on 10/30/17Town Hall - New York

What business does a 21-year-old have writing such intensely introspective music? A valid question in most cases, but Julien Baker has lived it and earned it. She delivers songs that bypass everything else and directly strike your soul. To say “you could hear a pin drop” during her performance is not an understatement. The old grand Town Hall has seen a world of legendary performers grace its stage - add Julien Baker to that list.

    what a voice!

by DumbFound on 10/30/17Town Hall - New York

If you are looking for slow ballads that are guaranteed to bum you out - she's your gal. I say that in the most positive way. Over the past couple of years I've been listening to her album and each every time I've begun to cry at various points. In concert she was even more moving. Her voice soars over these relatively simple chord progressions at a dauntingly slow tempo, yet the songs remain intense and exquisite. Her new songs/album continues in a similar vain. Great show!

Wonderful, will be going to another show ASAP!

    by WGQ0512 on 10/15/17The Masquerade - Atlanta

Julien Baker has the sweetest, human, and humble stage presence that I have ever seen (and I have been to countless shows). Every song with the passion and intimacy as if it were her first time playing it in front of an audience. Julien Baker will make You laugh, cry, and sing along. If You have the opportunity to go to any of her shows, You should go, and I promise that You will be glad that You did.

One Of The BEST Live Shows I've Been To

by hobophobicx on 9/27/16Music Hall of Williamsburg - Brooklyn

DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS. Seriously, if you're even contemplating seeing Julien a little bit, take the plunge. Her live show is even better than her recorded album. You'll be enraptured by her. She's a small girl with a huge stage presence. It was only her on stage with a guitar, but the whole audience was in awe. You could've heard a pin drop when she sang, absolutely no other noise existed outside of her voice. There was always raucous applause following each song, but no one made a peep otherwise. It was unlike anything I'd seen before - and I go to a LOT of shows. If you have the chance to see Julien, please do it. She's absolutely phenomenal

    Amazing

by JoeyORourke on 9/27/16Music Hall of Williamsburg - Brooklyn

I've been to countess shows and have never experienced anything like I did seeing Julien perform. Her music can be relatively quiet at times and everyone in the crowd was completely respectful and quiet. You can hear a pin drop in the room!

Julien Baker is a life-affirming experience

by Reath on 9/27/16Music Hall of Williamsburg - Brooklyn

I've never seen anyone captivate an audience into total and complete silence the way Julien Baker does. Her sets are intimate, respectful, raw, and above all—completely and totally vulnerable. When she sings, you listen because she's telling you her story. There are no theatrics when it comes to Julien Baker. She appears alone on stage with just her guitar and she doesn't need anything else to make you cry. I didn't want the night to end. For the love of God, please go experience this wonderful, humble, adorable, tiny human being. I want her to succeed in everything she does.

Great show! Definitely go see Julien live if you have the chance. Very emotional experience. The Sinclair is a rad venue as well. Glad I got to see Julien & Phoebe there. Both incredible performers and awesome people!
