About

As a founding member of Three 6 Mafia and an integral player in the birth of crunk, Memphis rapper Juicy J has a hip hop pedigree that few other rap artists can touch. After signing to longtime collaborator Wiz Khalifa’s label in 2011, Juicy J released his third solo album Stay Trippy in 2013 to positive reviews and a No. 4 spot on the Billboard 200. The album, a veritable who’s who of hip hop, features collaborations with some of the genre’s biggest names, including Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz on “Bandz a Make Her Dance” and Big Sean and Young Jeezy on “Show Out.” In 2006, Juicy J and Three 6 Mafia became the first hip hop group to win an Academy Award for Best Original Song, taking home the Oscar for “It’s Hard out Here for a Pimp,” their contribution to the 2005 film Hustle and Flow. For fans with tickets to his tour, Juicy J puts on a live concert with plenty of raw energy and a generous serving of his signature swagger.

The event was scheduled to begin at 7:30. We arrived at about 7:30, there were some other people performing, which is obviously normal. The problem was juicy j, who I paid $52 just for my ticket to see, didn't get there until like 11. And the show was over before midnight. No one even knows who the people opening were, and most of the time before juicy j got there, just music was playing. Juicy was a good performer and it was fun for the short amount of time he was there. I could've gone to a party in Mankato and had more fun and saved 50 bucks though...

    Juicy J was horrible

by Anonymous on 2/17/15Verizon Wireless Center - Mankato

I read all the reviews of Juicy J prior to this concert, and they were all terrible! But I just thought I'd give it a shot anyways. That was by far the worst decision of my life! The concert started at 7:30 and he didn't even appear on stage until 11:30! The stage/tech crew told us that he didn't even arrive in our city until 10 which really pissed me off!!

juicy j was 3 hours late! and only performed for 50 minutes. Didn't even acknowledge or care that he made his fans wait for 3 hours. His performance itself is the only reason I'm giving 3 stars (pretty good overall) but I can't think of one song he performed where he actually finished the entire song. The horrible djs that tried stalling the crowd for 3 hours was ridiculous.

    Long concertttt

by JesseJG on 2/17/15Verizon Wireless Center - Mankato

Juicy J didn't show up til 11pm and the concert started at 7:30. Unless you like to wait around forever and take in secondhand weed, I recommend you find another artist to go to.

    TERRIBLE JUICY J

by samijosell on 2/17/15Verizon Wireless Center - Mankato

The event was terrible! The artists before Juicy J did not know what to do. Juicy J didn't arrive until 11pm when the concert started at 7:30pm. He only played about three songs before he left at 11:30 to catch a flight at midnight. I waited about 4 hours standing in the crowd while being pushed and shoved and having drinks spilt on me. I will never attend another Juicy J event at the Verizon Wireless Center again!

by Outragedfandamn on 2/17/15Verizon Wireless Center - Mankato

Juicy j didn't even show up till 11:20-30 and he only stayed 30-45minutes I paid 50$ to stand around for over 20 minutes with no music playing for live artists. I disliked this experience.

    Unprofessional

by benniewilson46 on 2/17/15Verizon Wireless Center - Mankato

I was extremely disappointed. Juicy J was over three and a half hours late because he was drunk in waiting to sober up to perform. If you have an obligation to perform that's should be your main priority. I paid over $100 for tickets just to not see him. No opening act, just a bunch up random "rappers" on stage rapping to popular hip hop songs for almost four hours. There also was no opener, just random guys rapping to popular rap songs the whole time. It was the worst concert event I've ever been to in my life, & I am getting a refund somehow someway.

Juicy J was not worth the money

by Jsikk on 2/17/15Verizon Wireless Center - Mankato

Doors opened at 6:30, was supposed to start at 7:30, some dj at 7:30 and then we all waited for another 4 hours until he finally showed up and played for a solid 45 minutes.

    Juicy J finally showed up!

by T3995 on 2/17/15Verizon Wireless Center - Mankato

The show was good, but we waited until nearly 11 for Juicy J to show up to the auditorium. We had at least 20 minutes of silence waiting after the opening acts were finished before we heard anything on whether or not he would show up. Most of us got there when the doors opened at 6, so waiting around 5 hours for him to show was a disappointment.

Came to the concert 1 hour and a half late. He does it every concert. I've been to 4 of them now and he's always late so unless you like waiting forever, don't waste your money. Didn't even perform for that long either

    Juicy let me down

by Anonymous on 2/3/15Bogart's - Cincinnati

doors opened at 7 Juicy came out at 1130, then pawned off all kinds of new artists. Waste of 55 bucks

The production of this show was terrible- more than one person who was not part of the presenting act was noted walking around the stage having a conversation on their phones. There was way too much time given to DJs playing unoriginal music and ads!- If I'm going to be forced to watch ads then I shouldn't have to pay over $60.00 for a ticket. Every other person in the audience was smoking (cigarettes or pot).
