As a founding member of Three 6 Mafia and an integral player in the birth of crunk, Memphis rapper Juicy J has a hip hop pedigree that few other rap artists can touch. After signing to longtime collaborator Wiz Khalifa’s label in 2011, Juicy J released his third solo album Stay Trippy in 2013 to positive reviews and a No. 4 spot on the Billboard 200. The album, a veritable who’s who of hip hop, features collaborations with some of the genre’s biggest names, including Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz on “Bandz a Make Her Dance” and Big Sean and Young Jeezy on “Show Out.” In 2006, Juicy J and Three 6 Mafia became the first hip hop group to win an Academy Award for Best Original Song, taking home the Oscar for “It’s Hard out Here for a Pimp,” their contribution to the 2005 film Hustle and Flow. For fans with tickets to his tour, Juicy J puts on a live concert with plenty of raw energy and a generous serving of his signature swagger.
Good show. Good venue. Hope they have more! yeahhhh
I brought Juicy J concert tickets for my daughter and her friend to attend. They said the concert was off the chain! Not only did Juicy J tear the house down, Fat Trel did his thing as well.
So I'm walking up to the concert and all of a sudden a party bus catches on fire! It honestly made the night so much more hyped for me walking in seeing that. Everyone who performed killed it! Juicy Jay was definetly the high light of course. I couldn't have asked for a better performance from him. He held my iPhone. He didn't throw his chain, which was a little dissapointing but the temptation to reach for it made everything bittersweet. I saw Mac Miller at the Ritz in 2013 and will be returning the next possible time to this open venue. Concerts where you're assigned a seat compare nothing to the crowds like this one. I will continue to bring my group of friends here.
juicy j was an awesome concert! I got up front and juicy j sounded great! what was even better was he took my phone while he was on stage and took a video of him rapping!! crazy and awesome night!! one of the best concerts I've been to.
3 opening acts - only sfresh was worth watching. Many many high school kids drunk and sweaty and attempting to start fights with anyone they could push themselves or their friends into. Juicy J came out well after 10.
While his performance was really great, it felt like a century waiting for it to start. We were let into the building at 7 and waited until after 9:30 for the show to start. By the time he came out the crowd was getting reckless or even being thrown out. Next time, bring an opening act.
He killed it...with a broken ankle! This dude is unstoppable!
Had a good time at the THC tour. Good people, good music, good vibes.
Juicy still did his thing even though be had a broken leg. He made the most of it and still put on a great show. He took it back to the 90s for a bit with some Three 6 Mafia hits and then even took requests from the crowd towards the end. Great experience at HOB once again.
Great show He played for hour in. Half all the great songs. He even played with broken leg!
Juicy J was absolutely fantastic! Started right on time & he played for a long time. Drinks are expensive as expected, but they had food for sale and it was pretty cheap. Service was extremely fast. Overall it was an amazing time & I cannot wait to see him again! Hopefully it will be at this venue again!
Even in a cast the 36 Mafia legend put on an amazing show really getting the fans involved I definitely recommend going to see one of his shows!!
It was a very good show. Brother Ali was great and Juicy J had a lot of energy and charisma.
General admission was the place to be, on the dance floor!
Horrible openers and Juicy J didn't do any of his popular songs. way to much down time with some random person playing songs or just doing stupid stuff.
Since he canceled the week before, I expected Juicy J to bring his absolute best. After 45 mins of mostly music from a recent mixtape, he literally dropped the mic and walked off stage. I was expecting more old school Juicy from Three 6 Mafia or at least a montage of his recent cameos. Slightly disappointed.
i paid 50. each for 2 to go. 100.00 was a waste of money. did not pay that to see him for 30 minutes. ridiculous. started at 7;30. he FINALLY showed up at 11;15. performed for 30 minutes. wow. did he outdo himself...was he drunk or high..... very inconsiderate. i will never go to his concert again and i will tell anyone who will listen about this experience. i really think we all should get a refund or a partial refund. the whole experience ridiculous. very poor business....not a good image.
Unless you want to pay $50 to hear a DJ and be pushed around in a room full of Boys fighting for 5 hours with no appearance from Juicy J until the last hour then be my guest and goto this exhausting show.
he was soooooo late, a lot of people left before he got here because they didn't think he would show
Honestly this was the worst concert that I have ever been to. Opening acts began at 7:30pm. The opening DJ announced at 9:00pm (when Juicy J would normally go on stage) that Juicy J was on his way. Juicy J arrived to his 7:30pm concert at 10:30pm. Then, through out the concert Juicy J was just rude to others on the stage with him and seemed very "under the influence" during his sloppy performance of other artists' songs that he is only featured in. All he performed of these songs were just the verse that he rapped and then the song ended. It was very boring, so we left early before it was over (it was actually very late because the concert started so late).
