Juan Luis Guerra has created a synthesis of slinky bachata and posh merengue rhythms, and when he performs it live, he brings a slice of the Dominican Republic's culture to the stage. As one of the DR's biggest musical exports, the suave crooner has captivated legions of fans with his sophisticated folk formula. He's joined forces on stage with some of the best, including Sting, The Rolling Stones, Paul Simon and Maná.

Juan Luis Guerra Seijas was born in the Dominican Republic in 1957, and like love at first sight, Guerra felt an instant affinity for his country's native genres. Back then, bachata and merengue ran in different circles — the former was considered crass and lowbrow, while the latter would be dubbed the national identity of DR by decree. The artist launched his singing career in the late '80s, but it wasn't until 1990 with Bachata Rosa that he catapulted bachata to global prominence. He elevated the genre by adding a tinge of merengue into his musical recipe — Guerra is widely considered the first to do so — and earned a Grammy for it. He kept the sonic elegance going strong, but the racy double entendres, traditionally a characteristic of bachata lyrics, got the song "Burbujas de Amor" banned in several countries. Today, "Burbujas" is recognized by Rolling Stone as one of Latin pop's greatest songs of all time. With over a dozen studio albums that also dabble in rock, salsa and even gospel, the legendary performer proves that his creativity is limitless In 2019, the Billboard Latin Music Awards honored Guerra with the Lifetime Achievement Award for his artistic excellence.

This was my third time seeing Juan Luis Guerra in concert. I saw him once in Boston, once in Houston, and this time in Atlanta. He never fails to impress. The band is tight and always together and never misses a note. It’s loud, but you can still hear every part of the music. And wow, he is so beloved by all of his fans.
One of the best concerts that i have attended. We danced the entire time. Don’t miss it!

My wife & I met in PR in 1991. For our 1st date I invited her to a Juan Luis Guerra & 440 concert. It was perfect, Fast forward and this this our second concert & it was as good as the 1st. As far as merengue No one compares to them. Great sound & selection of songs. Thank you all for such as great concert.! Orlando & Maria

It was a great concert. Plenty of music for 90-plus minutes. However, it started 70 minutes after the announced start time. Although a DJ was getting the crowd entertained, we still waited 20 minutes after he finished.

The event was 100% successful. well organized. good security. good parking access and a great show with excellent sound and light show.
JLG is a phenomenal, a great artist of human poetry, but very disappointed with the musical production in the Santander Arena, acoustics where so horrible you could not understood what he was singing or which song and I know them all, fans would know that is his distinctive way to talk and recite part of his songs, which could be barely heard. Bass & treble was do high it made the metal vibrate very strong across the arena even the restroom doors where shaking. It was too loud for his voice. Not mentioning it fall short on duration 1 1/2 hour show only, after a DJ burning time for the first 50 minutes. Hope these issues are corrected in his future presentations and also that this comment could reach the venue in case they are the ones responsible in any way for the sound.
This was one of the best concerts that I have been to. It was an unforgettable night and would definitely purchase tickets to go again!
Juan Luis Guerra y 440 was an amazing concert. Very animated and included all the iconic songs they have. Only La Guagua was missing. The quality of the sound was incredible too. In conclusion it was excellent and I highly recommend it.
I always love Juan Luis Guerra and love his music! He exceeded my expectation and loved from the opening act till the end!! I can't wait when he comes and see him again!! ❤️❤️❤️
The concert was fantastic and the venue pretty good and comfortable. The two areas for improvement would be to start earlier if it is on a Sunday and to better organize the parking entrance. Interesting enough the parking exit was super easy. Overall, a great experience.

From obtaining the tickets through Ticketmaster, receiving reminders from them to the ease of getting the tickets/parking and then, entering the arena, it was flawless. The concert was awesome, exceeded my expectations and looking forward to attend another one!!

The concert was wonderful, just what you would expect from Juan Luis Guerra. I have attended many shows lately and I was very impressed with the show production, the graphics, light up bracelets, etc., that was a pleasant surprise. The band was wonderful and the energy was very high, all night long. He played for a very long time.
