Joy Reid Tickets

We were so lucky to learn about this event on Rachel Maddow’s program. My first time visiting the Apollo Theater. Joy is amazing! The love and research she put into her book, Medgar and Myrlie, was evident. Rachel, of course, drew parallels between today’s politics and the politics if the 30s with Rep Bilbo. A surprise visit by Al Sharpton added to the excitement.

Loved the theatre, loved being up close and personal with Joy and Rachel. It was very intimate, interesting and thought provoking. The Apollo should do more of these types of “chat sessions “. I learned a lot about some important people that I never knew existed.

This was a present for my partner and she loved it. Great conversation and very informative.
