Country artist Josh Thompson kicked off his career in 2009, when the songwriter released his first single, “Beer on the Table,” and co-authored a song for Jason Michael Carroll’s Top Ten album Growing Up Is Getting Old. A native of western Wisconsin, Thompson began pouring concrete alongside his father at the age of 12, and a sense of blue-collar pride soon found its way into his music. He moved to Nashville in 2005, assembled a band, and received a boost when Columbia Records signed him to the label’s country division. “Beer on the Table” became a Top 40 country single in 2009, marking Thompson's first taste of chart success, and he spent the rest of the year touring and finalizing his debut album. ~ Andrew Leahey, Rovi

It was a great time Chris cavanaugh was very good as well
Chris Cavanaugh opened up for Josh Thompson. He was energetic and charasmatic. He got the mild crowd rocking. Josh Thompson came on and got the crowd standing, singing and jumping! He played all of his hits with a few all-time favorites. He worked the stage and interacted with the crowd with ease. He played an incredible version of a Billy Joel classic! Josh Thompson proves that country music when played with energy can liven up any crowd!
Great show!! I especially enjoyed drummer Brian Dowd's dynamic performance! I can't wait to see another show!
This is my second time seeing Josh Thompson and was just as impressed! Loved the venue, too. Looking forward to show number three in Bloomington, IL!!
Jason Sturgeon did an excellent job as an opening act. He warmed up the crowd nicely and provided us with an amazing show. Following Jason Sturgeon was Chris Cavanaugh, an amazing performer and great songwriter. Josh Thompson did an absolutely fantastic job. Singing along to the songs I knew and listening intently to the new ones. I can't wait for his next album. I look forward to seeing all 3 of these musicians again.
it was a good concert but not worth the 2 1/2 hour drive.
This was one of the best concerts I have been to! Absolutely phenomenal! Josh Thompson does such a great job connecting with the audience!
He was AWESOME!! I love me some Josh Thompson ! You have to catch his show!
it was an amazing time! love josh thompson would see him anytime!
4 hours of solid country music for $25, can't beat that! Great, great venue, sound system at rapids is topnotch, comfortable atmosphere. Wasn't two familiar with JoshT. but open to all country. Newcomer Chris Cavanaugh is definitely someone to watch for. Everett Lee had a great setlist and sounded good, loved the energy of Ransomville, could have listened to them a little longer. Josh T was good but kinda mellow after the two openers.
It was an amazing concert a a great venue. The opening acts were very impressive.
I've seen Josh Thompson several times and he NEVER disappoints!! He is a down-to-earth, hard-working country boy who is on his way to the big time! His performances are always energizing and FUN. His music speaks to anyone who believes in working hard, playing hard & appreciating family & friends. He was very pleasant to talk with at the Meet & Greet and seemed genuinely happy to meet his fans, take pics and sign autographs.
The show was amazing ....Josh had everyone in the bar singing and feeling his beat ..I traveled 4 hours for this show and followed thru to go to 2 other shows in Bradenton & in Daytona and this and every show is well worth the ride, the expense I'm really happy to be one of the lucky fans in the audience watching this artist grow Thanks JT You really can make us feel what YOU feel inside so please Keep on singing
Josh Thompson is my favorite country newcomer. He is a fantastic performer, and puts on an amazing show. He blew me away for the second time at Showcase Live! and I would recommend seeing him to ANYONE. I love Josh!
Concert was good, but the guitar mix was way too loud compared to the voice. There were times I could not tell what the words were that Josh was singing. Took too long for the band to come out on stage to start. Everything was set-up and ready for them after the opening band's stuff was removed and it was another 25-30 minutes before Josh Thompson came on stage.
The show was pretty good, almost identical to his last show in Boston. He was a little too tipsy this time and it was distracting at times. I love his music and he didn't mess up any songs so all in and all I can't complain.
This was my 4th show with Josh and he was absolutely amazing as he has always been! Josh has awesome stage presence and great interaction with his fans! I definitely recommend Josh's shows to anyone and everyone who loves country music!
I really like the venue it was great to be so close. Josh was awesome!!!! I liked that he interacted with the crowd a lot during his performance. I liked him before the show but now I love him.
I have heard some people say well I only know 2 of his songs. Let me tell you, buy the cd!! The first time I heard this guy and his band I liked it and I didn't know any songs back then.Iv'e seen him about 5 times now and every time his crowd is bigger and bigger. If you like some real country with a southern rock band edge then this is a must see !!
