  • This was obviously an emotional, heartfelt performance.

by TJ on 5/23/23Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Josh had his kids in the audience for the first time. The crowd was enthusiastic and even though he messed up on a couple of songs, it was a terrific, fell good evening!

  • Josh always gives it all

Never fails to give an emotional and exuberant concert full of love and light and amazing music. Always a pleasure.

  • Fun & insightful event!

by Rob G on 2/12/22Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - BoiseRating: 4 out of 5

Great blend of conversation and music. Fun to hear different perspectives and process for creative development of music versus novels from two interesting artists. Would like to have heard a few more songs. And confused on so many empty seats in front of us when we bought the best available seats through Ticketmaster months in advance.

  • Left Me Lukewarm

by Bat Guano on 10/17/19Bethel Woods Center for the Arts - BethelRating: 3 out of 5

I guess Josh is a great songwriter and good guitarist. He also is a cheerful dude. However, I got the impression he loves performing, but had no idea where he was. He did not connect to the audience in my estimation. I really wanted to like him, but must admit he left me cold. Carrie Blanton, who opened for him, was much more enjoyable.

Amazing performance at bethel woods. The event center was the perfect venue for such an intimate performance. Easy in and out and there were plenty of choices for food and drink. The venue was super clean and the staff were genuinely happy and helpful. Can’t wait to catch another small show there!!!!

  • Amazing Performer, Amazing Venue

by MattT on 10/7/19Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Josh Ritter put on an absolutely amazing show at the Ryman Auditorium. He performed every song with passion and pride and left everyone in the audience wanting more! The Ryman Auditorium was a fantastic venue to see a show! The acoustics were outstanding and there isn't a bad seat in the house. Overall, a fantastic experience seeing Josh Ritter at the Ryman Auditorium.

  • Amazing As Always

Probably the best venue I've ever experienced. It was intimate but exciting. The crowd was fun. The band was tight. It was a really amazing evening.

  • Great Concert

by PGK on 10/1/19Ryman Auditorium - NashvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I’m in my late 50’s and probably still see ~20 concerts each year between NASHVILLE and other cities. Josh Ritter and his band may be the best concert I’ve seen in a long time. First of all any concert in Ryman is great from the history which has taken place on that stage. I’ve got a Ryman church pew in my living room to remind me of this special place every day. Josh’s words to his songs are so deep and meaningful every song. His band is excellent as they are so tight (reminded of E Street Band), as each member has moments in the songs to stand out and show their enormous talent and they feed off of each other. Josh’s continuous comments on his/their appreciation for the Ryman and the crowd made me a fan for life as I will see them each tour going forward. Highly recommend this band to everyone out there!

  • Great show was always

by bthubbard on 9/24/19State Theatre - PortlandRating: 5 out of 5

I've seen Josh Ritter a few times and he's always great. You won't find an artist who looks happier than Ritter to be on stage. The venue for this show was State Theatre in Portland, ME. I'll definitely keep an eye on upcoming shows there. The staff is really well organized and the bar service was fast.

  • One Happy Guy, One Tight Band

    by L. D. on 9/24/19Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Love this guy. He is genuinely happy & excited to be in front of his audience. Jumps around like a not-so-little elf. The band is so tight and they seem so close. And no better place to see a show than the Beacon Theater.

  • A Must!

by Marty on 9/24/19Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Great theatre to see Josh Ritter! Two entrances made for a quick entry! Easy access to the subway and restaurants right across the street! Josh was excellent and so appreciative of the crowd attending the performance! Don’t miss him!

  • Surprisingly great!

by Like going to rock n roll church. on 9/24/19Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

I had no idea that this would be so good. I liked Josh Ritter's music and especially the new album. When I had a chance to see him with a good seat and Amanda (Highwoman) Shire's opening I jumped. Her music was beautiful and the only negative was that she was too nervous. Josh and his band blew the roof off. So much fun.

  • Ritter good, theater terrible.

    by C. C. on 9/23/19State Theatre - PortlandRating: 3 out of 5

Josh Ritter superb. Sound sucky: harsh, hard, murky. Venue needs absorbent panels. I know these songs, but could make out few words. Lighting tech did an excellent job. State Theater needs to focus less on alcohol sales, more on presentation of the talent.
