The energy and passion of Josh Ritter made the night memorable.
Josh Ritter was so good! My husband had never heard him and he said it was one of the best concerts he's been to. He just sounds so touching when he sings, and his band was amazing!
I have been listening to Josh for years and I was thrilled to find out he was coming to Lawrence. His live performance was so awesome. The venue was small and very well maintained, I will watch for future events here.
Josh Ritter and his band may be the happiest musicians I've ever seen! Josh is so humble and so thankful for being able to perform, it just makes you feel good. Josh's lyrics are vivid and when he sings it's like a movie you can see in your mind...one of the best writers I've ever heard. His band is fantastic as well. This was one of the better concerts I've seen in the past few years!
It was our first Josh Ritter concert for my husband and myself but we immediately bonded with others in the crowd who were attending their fourth or fifth concert! Now we see why. Josh’s energy and talent energized the room and made everyone happy! It was our first, but certainly not the last time we’ll see him.
Josh brought amazing energy to the stage, and the Neptune was the perfect venue to see him and his band!
Wow, the good energy & good nature of Josh Ritter add immeasurably to his songwriting, guitar-playing & singing incredible talent! So creative, unique and on my short list of all-time favorites! My “go to” artist!
I had no idea there would be an opening act and what a treat it was! Nicki Bluhm should have been the headliner! What a voice! Josh Ritter was only so-so. The band was talented but his voice just wasn’t good. He could use some backup singers. There was one song where the audience sang along and it sounded beautiful. We left after about 7 songs after giving him a chance to get better.
One of the best, energetic, dynamic performers on stage.
Josh Ritter and the Royal City Band were great! Amazing showman.
If you want to see someone who has The Love Of Music coursing through his veins, Josh Ritter is your guy.
wonderful show in an intimate setting. Very enthusiastic performance
What can I say. Josh and the band were perfect. It was one of the best shows of mine and my wife's lives.
This show was amazing. Been wanting to see Josh Ritter for some time and he did not disappoint. I've been to a lot of concerts and have never seen someone so happy to be on stage doing what they are doing.
Another great performance by Josh Ritter! He's the happiest and most gracious performer I've ever seen and so energetic and in the moment.
He put on such a great show! You could tell that he was really into the music which made the show even more fun! I would definitely see him again
Simply superb. Josh Ritter's sound is great live and it was fun to watch him get engrossed in the music.
Josh Ritter is an incredible performer, and I really loved this concert. He played a mix of songs from his latest album (Sermon on the Rocks) along with several songs from his old records (Girl in the War, To the Dogs or Whoever, Right Moves, Idaho, The Curse, among others). The Royal City Band was also great, and it was fun to watch the bandmates interact with each other and with Josh. They've been playing together for over a decade (if I'm remembering correctly), and they seem to have an amazing rapport built up.
Mixed in old,and new stuff without missing a beat! You could tell he was so excited to play the Beacon and enjoyed the appreciative crowd!
Wonderful show! Mr. Ritter brings such energy to his shows with great lyrics and music. He seems to truly appreciate the audience and we appreciate his lack of arrogance. Keep writing and keep playing!
