Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Tickets

I bought tickets for friends and my daughter and I was prepare to see a good play as I have seen one many years ago. But it was not what I expected... It was OUTSTANDING! We were not prepared for the way it was presented in a new refreshed way of telling the story of Joseph. Every part of it was just amazing! The cast was super talented and hilarious! I recommended to my family and friends and I wish to go again! LOVED IT!

For Valentines Day I bought my wife tickets for Joseph which is who favorite play. We expected the classic Joseph play and music to find out it was set in Las Vegas with several suggestive scenes. Definitely not for kids to be seeing. Just before intermission Joseph was and some of his other brothers were dressed as show girls in stilettos, bras and tight shorts. We decided to leave at that point. Don't waste you money on this play. Go some place else and enjoy a good show. There are lots of choices out there. We had not gone in many years and we will not be back.

The majority of the cast was great. Joseph was excellent. Shame on Drury Lane for not informing customers that this was not the classic musical. I originally purchased these tickets to take children. Months after my purchase, Drury Lane changed to description to include Not suitable for Children. They then refused to refund my tickets or let me exchange them for another production. Buyer beware. Never purchase tickets for Drury Lane until the show has opened and you can read reviews. It was changed to be a dream of a guest to Las Vegas. The narrator kept trying to do impersonations of celebrities but they were awful. Though the impersonations were intended to be funny, they were screechy and annoying. After the production was over she did a bunch of different impersonations and some of them were good but most were just tolerable. If you have to tell me who you are impersonating, then it's not a good impersonation.

Very good singing and dancing. I very much disliked the Brittney Spears voice. I love the song but it was ruined by the imitation. The narrator did an amazing job but I saw no reason to imitate others. It would have been nice to hear athe real voice.

The food at Lucille was great and the theater was beautiful, comfy and the play was so good.

If you are looking for a traditional presentation of this musical, this may not be the play for you. However, the cast is talented (mostly) and most of the scenes are excellently done, with, I thought, the Pharaohs scene being my least favorite. The Narrator sang several pieces, in fact it appeared that the play was designed around her exceptional talent. All in all, it was an enjoyable presentation and I found myself singing some of the pieces for days after.

I have seen MANY renditions of Joseph, and this one BY FAR blew me away! The creativity of the story, the brothers, Joe, and of course words cannot describe the narrator! I personally saw this production 3 times since February, and this last time I brought 4 girlfriends for a fun Girls Night Out! Im so so sad that it is soon over. Please bring it back again!

Originally saw this with Donny Osmond as the lead, fabulous! The Drury Lane remake brought it into contemporary times starring Christina Bianco as the narrator stole the show. Check out her YouTube video's. She's a very talented impersonator and uses it to the max in this play. In addition Joseph, the rest of the cast & scenery supported her well. Buy your tickets now!

The review from critic Chris Jones from the Chicago Tribune was spot on! Our niece sent us his review after we saw this show. We went to see "Joseph" expecting an inspirational show having seen this several years ago. We were very surprised that it was adapted to a Vegas style and considered leaving at intermission after seeing men dance in Tutus. We stayed for the second half which was better but still not what we had come to expect. The people had wonderful voices but this talent was wasted on this adaptation of Rice and Lloyd- Webber's rock musical.

Having Joseph take place in Las Vegas at the Luxor was so innovative! My friends and I loved it. Would go see it again and again if it was there longer than March 25th!

Talent is amazing. Narrator is most talented and entertaining I have ever seen and heard.

I didn’t know that this was a “play” on Joseph. I was laughing and smiling the entire time. Didn’t think Joseph could get any better (big Joseph fan) and this one did. Must see

Definitely an entertaining show. High praise for the venue, incredible singing talent and elaborate costumes. If you are expecting the Donny Osmond version of this show you may be disappointed. It has a contemporary spin on the biblical tale to say the least. We took our young teens and they loved It! Worth it just for the incredible talent, singing and costumes.

What fun. Make sure you stay at bows. It gets rolling again A standing "O"!!!!

I attended Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat Drury Lane Theatre Oakbrook Terrace, Oakbrook Terrace, IL Saturday, March 03, 2018 5:00pm I never seen this show in past. I purchased the tickets thinking it was an original production. Then I read the reviews and gasped at how negative many were because it was a Vegas version. I was worried if it was even worth going. It was phenomenal! The man next to me said he seen the original and if a blind person went to see the original and this one he would he wouldn’t know the difference. I am almost tempted to see it again.

Different take on original- absolutely amazing.. great cast!!!

Talented group puts a new spin on a beloved story. A must see!

We had a great time at Joseph. Loved Joe and all his brothers. Wonderful performance.

The actors and actresses were phenomenal! Beautiful singing voices and entertaining dances. I love that the story is set in Vegas, super creative!
