    Ok...so this was my second time seeing Jose James at this same venue! THIS time? I purchased tickets for 8 of my closet friends and we ALL were 'wowed'...REAL Music REal Talent with no machines or strings attached! Jose Jaames KILLED it and so did his HOT Band! Sax, horns, key board, bass and lead guitar all were flawless! The place was packed and the crowd, as did ALL the NINE of us, were VERY pleased. Jose James, thank you!

    Jose James went through a flawless set of songs, mostly from his current CD, "No Beginning, No End". He also threw in some songs by Bill Withers & Gil Scott-Heron (who by the way sounds like one of his greatest musical influences). He was engaging as a performer and had that "swag" factor both as a musician and entertainer. Mad vocal acrobatics. Relevant even to the Hip Hop crowd. He definiely could have chosen a career as an MC as well. Who knew?? Band was second to none. The performance was more amazing than I could have imagined, and I have seen many shows at the Birchmere and other similar venues in the DC Baltimore area. The magic of this performance exceeded what he put down on his latest CD. I would not miss a second performance if he came back to the area.

    The show was nothing short of amazing! His band was awesome and they had crazy synergy. He's so talented. I can't wait until he returns to the DC area!

    I heard about this artist from a friend and didn't realize how smooth and talented he really was! Being in such an intimate setting he connected with his audience. I could listen to him every night!

    This was my first concert with a live band. The acoustics were remarkable, and the musicians each had a chance to spotlight their music. The concert went on longer than I thought, but at that price I didn't care at all. Also I was just in time for happy hour, always a plus.

    First off it started late!! The venue says 8:00 but the show didn't start until 9:00pm. However once it started. The talented Taylor McFFarrin warmed up the audience with his beats. Then around 45 min later Jose James came out and tore the place up with his awesome band. His songs and lyrics brings a fresh smooth sound to the genre of indie Jazz/R&B. He is an unselfish leader in he gives his band as much generous adoration, as the audience gives him. That says a lot about a person.

    Jose James and his band mates put on a memorable performance. Beautiful contemporary jazz, mixed in with soul. Amazing contribution by trumpeter, drummer, keyboardist and bass. Amazingly talented musicians....
