It would be nearly impossible to mistake anyone else for Jonathan Davis. The overpowering figure he casts behind that H.R. Giger-made microphone remains just as iconic as his signature scream does. A true original, the Bakersfield, CA singer, songwriter, composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist indelibly impacts millions as frontman for alt-metal/rock game-changers Korn—whose accolades encompass two GRAMMY® Award wins, worldwide sales of 40 million-plus, and countless sold out shows in nearly every corner of the globe. Throughout over 20 years in music, his presence coursed through the film scores, contributions to popular video game franchises, and official remixes for the likes of Steve Aoki and more. Along the way, he lent his voice to tracks for everyone from Linkin Park to Tech N9ne. However, 2018 sees him doing something he has yet to do: release his first solo album.
Writing and recording on the road, he played guitar, keys, and anything else he could get his hands on. Moreover, the music was primarily record live. Led by the single “What It Is,” it continues a tradition by boldly treading new territory.
“I’ve always got to be different,” he leaves off. “Once again, I’m doing something I haven’t heard before. This is my swan song. It’s my fucking masterpiece up to this point.”– Rick Florino, January 2018
Jonathan Davis killed it. Amazing performance and every song was 10/10. Best show ever
As always JD puts on one hell of a performance. I can’t wait for the new album. Plus QOTD is one of my favorite sound tracks and he hit us with a few songs from that.
It was amazing to see Jonathan in a small venue. The sound at the Fillmore is out of site! We were bummed to see such a small group though:-(( Probably only half capacity!! Those who did not show up missed a great performance! He is an amazing performer and vocalist!
I would highly recommend seeing Jonathan Davis if your are a KORN fan. Not because it sounds like KORN but for the complete difference. It is amazing what a Double Bass sounds like along with a violin looking instrument to rock hard rock odd rock with no description but it is good. I would also recommend the house of Blues in San Diego it is a very small venue so you have awesome view no matter where you are. Please go see him but please go with a open mind I really liked it and I have seek Korn at least 10 times over the years.
Was very happy with show and venue! Great sound, clean, bartender's good lil and easy to find. Definitely like to see another show here again
I enjoyed the show. JD rocked hard and got to show a lot of his unique and personal touch to his rock. I was glad to get the see the show he has been waiting a long time to do.
First time at Belasco Theatre. Thought the smell was unbearable, I guess because of the carpeting. Drinks were not as expensive as other venues so that was cool. Plenty of cheap parking nearby. Honestly didn’t care for Palisades, too much of a generic Hot topic band. Jonathan Davis absolutely killed...he was amazing. Put on a hell of a show, played some tracks off Queen of the Damned, and some new tracks of his upcoming album.
Jonathan Davis was extraordinary! Sound great in the balcony and view was "right there!" I bought a table and service was excellent from the door through the show. Theater is beautiful with easy access to outside for air. Great concert. Great venue.
Jonathan has a amazing voice he's new music is unforgettable you won't be disappointed
Great show/performances all around!!! Amazing venue as well!
Jonathan Davis was awesome! I would definitely see him again. I loved the different instruments!
So many songs through out the years I’ve been wanting to hear live and to actually hear songs like “forsaken” and “love on the rocks” was just simply amazing.
The show was amazing Jonathan Davis forever my idol thank you so much!
