  • Johnny - Great as usual

by dbrockle on 7/30/11Enmax Centrium - Red DeerRating: 4 out of 5

It was a good show by Johnny and his band but the lighting was terrible. The sound - as usual in an arena - was not great but acceptable. This is my 3rd Johnny Reid concert and the Queen Elizabeth Theater was by far the best because of good seating for everyone and great acoustics. This one was the second best and Prince George the worst.

Fantastic concert. Very energetic and always on the mark. Third time seeing Johnny. Never disappointed, you get your moneys worth and more. If you have never seen him in concert ,you are missing out big time!!

  • Johnny Reid was great

by dogluvr on 7/25/11Enmax Centrium - Red DeerRating: 4 out of 5

Thought Johnny Reid's voice was somewhat overpowered by the accompaniment. Don't know whether that's his department or whether it is that of the venue. Good energetic show otherwise.

It was a wonderful evening, would recommend it to any one that loves this young mans Music. The only thing was the sound and I don't know if it was because of where our seats were but it was very distorted. He had so much energy and was such a vibrant person. I would go again but would look for different seats.

My husband and I really enjoy Johnny Reid's music and we enjoyed seeing his live performance. Especially liked his relaxed and friendly demeanour, yet energized and audience participation with humor. We now feel a closer connection to his music after seeing his performance.

The concert was awesome, the sound at the Q.E.T is exceptional, you could feel the music and the instruments. All the flashes from cameras were at first distracting, but got use to them. What we couldn't understand it said on our tickets no cameras or recording devices, we where law abiding people, and felt cheated.

  • A Place Called Love - Johnny Reid

by DineyR on 10/4/10Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

What can I say? One of the best entertainers ever! I loved how he spoke to the audience, connected with us and touched our hearts and explained the emotional connections from his personal life to the songs! We cried, and laughed and danced along with Johnny! He danced and sang his heart out. He let his fans take pictures during his performance. What we all loved was that he sang his songs the way we know them and so the audience sang along with him! His band was superb...all of them! And it was totally exciting when the band pipers came out! And a shout out needs to go to his 2 back up singers/dancers! They were entertainers themselves! I absolutely loved how they were dancing and singing....so classy! I will be there in a heartbeat at the next concert!! Cannot wait! There was an older couple in their late 70's beside us and they had been to both performances and the woman was groovin' the whole show! My niece and I are definitely more of a fan after seeing him! We love how he wears his heart on his sleeve! Keep on Rockin' for us, Johnny!

  • Reaching the fans

    by January25 on 10/4/10Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Johnny has the most amazing way of involving his audience. You are with him and he is part of each person there. His energy and enthusiasm while performing totally captivates you. Comment from a couple in front of us, their first time seeing him and not really even knowing who he was prior to the show: "We are hooked, we are now Johnny Reid fans". I was able to meet him before the show and he was so genuine. He talked to my Mom on my cellphone and she was one excited lady! We will never forget his kindness, his music and he will..... 'change the world" one fan at a time.

  • One of the best concerts ever!

    by amazingconcert23 on 10/4/10Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I was apprehensive about the venue but Johnny put on such a good show and was so great to the audience that I was won over right from the start. Great acoustics and even sitting in the last row of the balcony I wasn't disappointed in the view or vocals. I can't wait 'til he comes back.

by dbrockle on 10/3/10Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

He performs and writes his music from the heart! As he said when asked how he became a country singer - I'm whatever you want me to be - he covers all genres. I'd go every opportunity I could.
