Johnny a Tickets

Albert Cummings was engaging, fun and a great guitarist. His drummer and bass player were big additions to his act. There is no doubt Johnny A is a master guitarist but Johnny A is Johnny A's biggest fan and it comes across in his show. His band is one side of the stage and Johnny isolates himself off in a corner. Albert Cummings spoke with the audience, Johnny A spoke at the audience. The volume at Johnny a's show made it hard to listen, way too loud.

Jonny A and the Generators put together a fantastic show the crowd was alive and every minute was electric.

This guitarist is unbelievable- he is a great musician, a talented interpreter-- an enjoyable evening every time.

My boyfriend has listened to ZLX every Sunday morning for the past 8 years. This is how he heard about Johnny A. I thought tickets for this event would make a great Christmas present - and it WAS! Seating was first-come, first serve, so were were early enough to get front row seats. We also enjoyed an awesome hamburger before he started playing. Beers weren't priced too high and on New Year's Eve, you don't want to drink too much anyways. My boyfriend bought Johnny A's CD/DVD and had this autographed, as well as the jacket of Johnny A's other CD. This was a really, really nice evening. By the way, this is the first time we've been to Showcase Live, and we're definitely making plans to go again!

My wife and I have seen Johnny A several times and have not been disappointed once! His mastery of the guitar and his music is only equaled by his passion for both and that passion is evident each time we have seen him. He is great with the crowd and my only hope is that he continues to write more songs and puts out some new CD's soon. He did a great rendition of "Sleighbells" on his website, which I hope will inspire him to do some kind of Holiday CD.

Just wanted to say that Johnny was awesome! Besides the amazing guitar work, he was fun, entertaining and totally human.

Great sound, awesome bar to enjoy dinner while watching the show. Johnny is extremely talented and broke the show up with some funny stories! One of the best, if not the best, guitar players I've ever heard. Loved the drummer, Ron and bass guitar player, Jesse also. Could have listened all night!

I couldn't believe the raw talent that just oozes out of Johnny A.. He makes it look easy, while leaving us shaking our heads and tapping our tables. Perfect size venue with prompt friendly service, helped to make it an unforgettable night..

The show was amazing, as alway's, with Johnny A. His band mate's are also amazing, although we got the sad news that his base player, jesse bastos is leaving the band after that night's show. I was able to get my photo taken with Johnny however : )

What a great player. Just a little more volume than I really needed but after the ringing in my head went away, I said: What a Great Show!

Johnny A and band put on an aficionados geared show last Friday evening. It was clean and clear and absolutely obvious that you were watching a master. During the first two numbers members of my party turned to me and mouthed "Wow"! It was like listening to the album, only louder and with more punch, as should be the case fro all live shows, with the added benefit of improvision. As a long time musician a few things impressed me. The dynamics were beautiful with stops and starts performed with precision. At times the bassist (Jesse Bastos) held down the bass figure with his left hand while filling in diads high up on the neck in support of Johnny's inversions and inventions. Drummer (Ron Stewart) played a rockified jazz approach that punctuated stops and seemed to be joined at the hip with Johnny and Jesse. Very tasty indeed.
