Great show! He sounds exactly the same. Loved the acoustic songs at beginning of set. Two thumbs up!
John was in great form and his voice was perfect. Played songs from his stored career, The Babys, Bad English and his solo work. The tight 3 piece band fit very well with the set list. One of my favorite voices.
We sat in the front row on the end. He came out and did 4 acoustical songs - one was "Change" - his voice is so crystal clear. He then brought out the band and did his popular songs. When he sang "Everytime I Think of You", I motioned for him to come over. He squeezed my hand and then gave me a guitar pick. His music is amazing - his voice so clear. After the show I had one the the guitarists go back and sign my ticket for me from John. Great experience - I would see him anytime.
He didn’t play long enough. Such a short concert!!! Other than that... was fabulous!!!
We had never been to this venue before so did not know what to expect. Great place for an intimate concert experience. John Waite and his band were outstanding!!!! His voice is better than ever! Thank you for a great experience on my birthday weekend!
The venue was great, nice intimate setting. And John Waite's voice was just as crisp and clear sounding as when I first saw him in 1982. He may look much older, but Waite sounded Great!
John Waite sounds just like he did in the 70's and 80's!! His voice is timeless and puts on a great show. He sang songs from The Baby's and Bad English years along with his solo songs and a couple of covers that were AMAZING! What a great venue to see him perform. Not a bad seat in the house!
Saw John Waite at the Northern Lights Theater, and he did not disappoint. Sang his hits from the Babys, Bad English and his own stuff, and with his 3 man band he rocked it. Super fun and entertaining show, great music. He did an encore with a cover of Zepplin - he should consider doing a whole Zepplin cover album!!!
Totally enjoyable evening. only wish he had sung "Isn't it time", but that was the only negative. Powerful voice, great showman.
John Waite has been doing this for a long while and just exudes his love for performing. He is a great songwriter who continues to paint a vivid picture for us listeners. Super Artist! Excellent show!
Great talent and still has the pipes. The band was top notch, although keyboards and female backing vocals would have enhanced the songs that heavily relied on these voices. The balcony sound was so so, the venues house sound system was lacking in bass and mid range vocal depth. John was high energy, and still hits all the notes with power and passion, basically he still has the fire and rocks!!
One of the best rock voices out there. Seemed a bit out of sorts.
They were having a rough night at first, their sound was not working, but we heard everything and didn't even realize. It was too bad the crowd had to be so unkind! I hope he comes back to AZ after this. We had so much fun and the venue was great! I took my mom and we had never been to this venue, but we both agreed we would go again! Love john Waite and had a blast!
They were having a rough night at first with their sound, but we didn't have a promblem hearing anything.the crowd was being unkind. Hopefully they will come back to az. They sounded great and we had a wonderful time! I would definitely go back to see them at that venue I brought my mom to this concert, her and I are big John Waite fans!!
Been to many show at Talking Stick showroom, never heard a show sound this bad. First song no mic on John at all. Remaining songs were muffled at best.
John Waite rocked the house tonight! Babys, Bad English, solo stuff and a few surprises. Wanted to see him for a long time. Great show!
Starting off with technical difficulties doesn't bode well for this show. But after it was fixed and John gave the sound man the appropriate salute, he went through his set list with a fury. John has an amazing voice. Later in the show he played Midnight Rendezvous, the opening song messed up by sound issue. Fans were please with inclusion of songs from The Babys. Overall a very good concert. I would definitely recommend John Waite to rock fans.
John's voice is still amazingly strong. So strong, in fact, that although I rarely record anything at a concert because I want to enjoy the moment, I had to record a bit for a friend because I knew he would never believe how strong, and how high John can still sing.
Way too loud with way too many guitar and drum solos and Bad English songs. My memories of John Waite was not as an 80's hair band.
Great venue for this, the sound check team messed up the first song. However from that point on it was great. The drum solo was incredible and if there wasn't so many crazy old men screaming while he sang, it would of been awesome!
