  • undelivered expectations

Very disappointing watching 2 tv hosts who both have strong views on this administration avoid the subject altogether and just gave a stand-up comedian routine

Every bit as entertaining as expected by consummate showmen and masters of the craft.

  • Great Comedy Pairing - Seating View to be Improved

by Kim on 10/29/25Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

Great way to spend a night out - great laughs and pairing of John Oliver and Seth Meyers. I appreciated that there was a touch of political jokes but also giving all of us a bit of a reprieve from the madness and sadness of this administration. My one piece of feedback is to the BEACON THEATRE. While I understand that ("only") paying for balcony seats would not give me and my husband the best view in the house, I find it inexcusable that the producers/or whoever is responsible for telling the comedians where they should stand would not indicate that they should stand a bit farther back from the front edge of the stage so that we in the balcony did not have to lean forward in our seats to actually see them. I feel this is lazy show production and was very disappointing. When there is only one person on stage who the audience is coming to see, ensuring they can see them without contorting oneself is the goal. We should be able to sit upright in our seats to view the single man show. Please do better next time!

  • Everything was great at the Beacon.

The venue was awesome. We sat in the orchestra and had no issues seeing them. Would definitely recommend.

  • Sooo funny

by Donna D on 10/29/25Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Well worth it. Venue was perfect. Both John and Seth were hysterical. Opener was okay, but didn't really fit comedically with the headliners.

  • Could they be any funnier?

by Comedy Lover on 10/29/25Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

John Oliver and Seth Meyers did not disappoint. It was a fantastic show that we laughed all the way through. Intelligent, funny & relatable. Don’t think twice. Go to the show!

  • Decent comedy, terrible acoustics

    by Red5Nordy on 9/25/25Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 3 out of 5

John Oliver and Seth Myers were...fine. I truly thought they would've focused more on current events so was a bit dissatisfied to hear them really just do routine stand up comedy and not talk about more what was happening in our nation. Speaking of hearing , that was some terrible acoustics in that theater. Really had to focus hard to understand them. I was not the only one straining to understand them. Which led to a mediocre night. Was really excited to see John Oliver.

  • Good but Had Much More Potential

by Hickman on 9/24/25Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 4 out of 5

Great Venue. Fine rehearsed acts from the 2 main stars but the opener was a complete waste of time & basically offensive that someone would rave about their petty theft as if it was funny. He was very offensive to his parents. Please get a new opener or just play music. We were expecting much more from John & Seth, more like the "Given the Times We Are In"Q&A session at the end. It could have been better & the current politics could have been much more prominent. It was as if they did not want to get Kimmelled but they missed a golden opportunity to be more out there. Final point,..., it is best to do comedy and leave your family, especially your children, OUT of it. If they are needed to be funny then you will be gone soon. You can be funny without potentially offending your children. I taught for 36 years and learned that early on....

  • Laugh., laugh, laugh

by D's musings on 9/24/25Beacon Theatre - New YorkRating: 5 out of 5

Great show. Hilarious story telling about the mundane things we can all relate to. Although there were some political jabs, most of the topics were relatable to all of us who have children and or spouses. Would recommend to any one who wants a fun night out.
