John was awesome, opening act Seaton was terrible. The requirement to secure bag your phones, smart watches, air pods, etc was ridiculous - it added to mass confusion and slow processing to enter the building. The show was too short as well - could have had a “medium” level comedian to do 30min before John came on to do main act.
I laughed till my face hurt. He was so entertaining and had obviously done some homework on our little city because he made some great jokes at our expense. The crowd loved it and cheered and laughed. I had such a great time and would definitely go see him again. One of the funniest comedians on the planet. Thanks John Mulaney for a really entertaining evening.
The show was fantastic! We had great laughs and it was a great evening. The Avenir Centre was a complete mess (other choice words could be said here). We were waiting outside forever (everyone) I've never seen anything like this in my life. Once we started chugging along and getting into the venue, it was just a free-for-all with no signage or directions. Everyone was just lost getting crammed into this lobby with no idea where they were supposed to go. I've been in much bigger venues and found my way just fine. The venue needs to improve for shows, it's just a big no thanks for me.
He is so funny. My sister and I really enjoyed him. We laughed the entire time. I hope he comes back to Moncton. He is hilarious and one of the best shows I have ever seen.
I was having a bad day up until John Mulaney walked on stage giving us laughs from start to finish. I have been a fan of Mulnaney since his early days & seeing him live has been an experience that I will remember in this lifetime. He has grown with his comedic style but still staying true to himself. A wonderful show & I am sure other attendees' reviews will attest to that :D
JM had us enthralled with his personal story, all the while cracking us up, like I was sitting in his living room. Thanks for visiting our fair city—- come back soon!
John Mulaney delivered a memorable experience in an uninspiring TD Place venue.
Wow! It was absolutely wonderful! I keep talking about his bits to my friends and family. Next time I am taking my mom, she would love him too 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️
Ive been a fan of Mulaney for years, ive seen old standup, his specials, seen him live once before when he came to Alberta, and ive been invested in the headlines involving him. As someone who is 15 years sober themself, it was heartbreaking to hear he had relapsed into addiction again. This tours materials dived deep into that time and his own struggles over the years with drugs and alcohol. He had a very intelligent and poignant way of discussing such difficult topics. He had a level of audience interaction during this show that added a whole new layer to the show as well. It was laughs from start to finish, even when the topic was difficult. Congrats on re-sobriety John. I hope he stays well. Id love to see you again one day.
This was an excellent show. Mulaney is deeply vulnerable and very, very funny in his reflections and observations.
Absolutely amzing show! Incredibly fun. Will definitely go again
He is one of my faves, this was my first time seeing him live and boy he did not disappoint! My mascara was running down my face from the constant tears of laughter. I managed not to pee my pants though, so kudos to me!
From the start, John Mulaney gains your attention with his stage presence! He is a great story teller who integrates comedy so well into his stories. I loved his performance, but I felt that he was more reserved than usual - this I understand with him coming out of rehab. In fact, John Mulaney set the context for this when he started his show. I could see it in his eyes and facial expressions that he was not completely himself- again I get it. Pushing this all aside, John Mulaney is still a funny, funny guy who connects so easily with the audience. Bravo, John!
There is no one like John Mulaney. He is a natural storyteller and I love the tales he weaves. He had me in tears laughing for the entire set. I’ve never known a better comedian than John Mulaney. I am so glad I finally got to see him in person and I would 100% go and see him again.
Upclose and center... dream tickets.. and a show that packed belly laugh after laugh. John did not disappoint! These tickets were a gift to my daughter and she raved about the show! So happy 😊
John Mulaney delivers with amazing new material that makes you laugh and makes you happy for the way he’s found his new look on life post-rehab. Insightful, direct, intelligent, and masterfully told stories that leave your sides hurting while you try to catch your breath.
Great material relatable and hilarious, his original style is awesome killed it!!
The comedian’s were awesome, loved John Mulaney and his openers. I couldn’t have asked for a better show. Unfortunately the venue workers were loud. At one point of the show there was a loud noise that sounded like a very large trash can on wheels being pushed across the top floor then moved to the downward floor. It echoed during the performance. The sound was very annoying and I think disrespectful to the comedian.
This, of course, felt different than his previous shows, but Mulaney doesn’t hold back, which made for an unusually intimate show. What should feel uncomfortable—rehab and intervention—felt strangely authentic and somehow funny as he dissects the absurdity of it all. Only a master storyteller can do this. He’s an amazing writer as well as entertainer. That’s a combination that can make anything funny and entertaining. But more than that, it felt raw and real and unexpected. He comes across as vulnerable and humbled by these self destructive ways, never preachy but always funny while the audience roots for him all the way. He’s so much more than a great laugh.
