  • A good Show

by Danny on 4/24/23Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

John is a fun Comedian. He had the audience laughing all the way. I liked how he improvised on the spot based on circumstances. Some comedians don't like audience participation but he seemed to enjoy it. The show was well worth attending!

  • Always a good time

by HeatherT on 4/24/23Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Love John, just wish half the show wasn’t what we saw a couple years ago. Thought he’d do more about being a dad now. But still laughed nonstop.

  • Funny and great show

The entire show was very funny from the openers through John’s set.

  • Baby J was great, Wynn Theatre just OK

by April on 4/23/23Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

We didn't have great seats to this show but I figured the theater would have jumbo screens so the back rows could also see the performance. It didn’t. My neck hurt from looking down all night. John Mulaney was very good. The first opening act needed a little more polish but I like that comedy shows give new comedians a place to hone their skills.

  • Funny, but not what I expected

    by Debra C on 2/13/23Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 3 out of 5

I enjoyed the show, but it was not what I had expected. Having seen his Netflix specials, but none of his interviews or SNL monologue, I wasn't expecting the humor to be that dark. I'm happy that John has turned his life around. But at times I was wondering if I should really be laughing since drug addiction isn't something I normally laugh at. He could have easily changed a few things in his approach and make this a motivational workshop vs. a comedy show if he wanted to. (I know, that's obviously not the point!) My favorite part of the show was when he asked if anyone in the audience had been to rehab and this guy said he had. The story was really funny and I enjoyed how John made it even funnier.

  • Loved the Show!

by Joy on 2/8/23Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 5 out of 5

I was really looking forward to this show, and it was everything I hoped for and more! John was hilarious! I was dying with laughter! The opening acts were great too. The check-in process was slow and inefficient though. We had to lock up our smartwatches and phones in bags that we held on to during the show to make sure no one filmed the performance. Maybe the staff wasn’t used to doing this? They inefficiently checked people in by making us take out our phones multiple times to show our mobile tickets. They also had to write down our seats on a paper and give it to us because we wouldn’t be able to access our phones after locking them up. The person doing this was in a separate line from those who were scanning tickets, which seemed inefficient. The people telling us where to go also gave us conflicting information. (One person told us there were 3 lines so we could move up, but when we moved up, the staff at that line said we had to wait.)

  • Great comediens

by Vince on 2/7/23Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 4 out of 5

The opening acts were great and John Mulaney was exceptional. I thought it was weird that a lot of people that were able-bodied sitting in the ADA section. A few of the audience members were bragging how they got the seats and took advantage of the situation. I carry an ADA card to show to the ushers but they were not checking at this event. I think if the seats are reserved for ADA audience menbers, the venue should check. I will be asking the ACLU to look into this and how this could have been prevented.

  • The first 2 acts where very bad John was very funny

The furst guy you could not understand the second was not funny JM was funny and the show was good

  • John Mulaney the genius!

by Comedian Fan on 2/7/23Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 5 out of 5

John delivers so well, in a flawless and humorous way. He shared his experience when he was subject to intervention by his friends and went on to rehab. He was genius in how to deliver such a sensitive subject and add humor to it. I don't think many comedians and writers could've delivered in the way that he did.

  • Was ok

by Deelani on 2/7/23Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 3 out of 5

It was ok with me but he spent a long time on a drug joke. There are all kinds of other topics he could have gone into. Maybe some of us couldn’t relate to it. A person I was with left early because he was a recovering drug addict. For me, I couldn’t relate to the drug issues ppl go through. Some of his jokes related to vaping and ABC stores in Waikiki had me laughing tho. It was ok.

  • Blew my socks off

  • OK

by DriftInn on 2/7/23Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 3 out of 5

Beginning was OK but the entire thing was about rehab and got old after a while.

  • Side splitting funny

by Talkdoc on 2/7/23Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 4 out of 5

The show itself did not disappoint. My face hurt from smiling and laughing so much. I hope we get more big-name comedians to come to Honolulu to perform. The only reason I didn’t give this show five stars is because we did not get informed ahead of time that they were going to hold our phone hostage in a bulky locking cell phone bag (it didn’t have handles) during the entire show. I needed to awkwardly carry it around in my hand, instead of being able to place it in the compact purse that I brought which was just big enough to fit my cell phone (before I had to put it their locking cell phone bag). I understand that they did not want anyone to record the show, but it just would’ve been nice to be informed of this ahead of time so that I could’ve brought a bigger bag. I don’t want to carry my phone in my hands because there’s a chance that I will drop my phone or put it down to hold my drink and snack, resulting in me leaving it somewhere because I forgot I was supposed to be holding a phone in my hands. It also meant that if anyone needed to be on call for a possible emergency, they were not going to be able to recognize that an emergency call was coming in, leave the auditorium, so they could answer their phone and then leave to attend to the emergency. Overall, the use of those bags could’ve been handled a lot better simply by informing everyone about it when they sold the tickets. For those who needed to be on call for emergencies, they could have opted out of attending the show altogether.

  • Absolutely amazing! Great seats! Fantastic time!

    by $$$Winner on 2/7/23Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 5 out of 5

I’m so glad I went. It was hilarious…took my son and he laughed the entire time! Such wonderful memories that we will now have forever!

  • Excellent Show!…

by SZABOTAGEband on 2/7/23Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 5 out of 5

Great show. Interestingly, all cell phones had to be placed into a bag with a tamper proof seal to prevent recording, texting, photos, etc. Was kind of odd to sit through a show and not have phone access to babysitter, but it brought me back to days before cell phones. We stayed “in the moment” throughout the show and survived. 😂

The funniest ever! So happy that he performed in Honolulu

  • Fantastic Show

by Fan in Hawaii on 2/7/23Neal S Blaisdell Arena - HonoluluRating: 5 out of 5

John Mulaney is fantastic. His timing, his delivery, and the content was great. I was laughing the whole time. My only criticism is that it wasn't long enough. The show started 30 minutes late and then there were two warm-up comedians. The show said it was 7 - 9:00. It ended on time. But I guess a comedian can't be expected to do more than one hour?? Anyway, I was ready to hear more. I didn't want it to end.

  • Mulaney

Excellent! Highly recommend. Very funny. Would see again.

  • Great show

by BDiddy on 1/3/23The Masonic - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

Both openers were good. First guy--spoke too damn fast to get half his humor, but what I heard I liked. Mulaney was great. Lots of thoughts about rehab stuff, but he could probs do a half dozen shows on his experiences and not double tell a joke. Very pleasant. Venue at the Masonic was A++. Upstairs bar was the bomb. Good drinks, great bartenders. Would do it again tomorrow.
