  • Venue Failure

by Nick on 12/9/23The Santander Arena - ReadingRating: 1 out of 5

Started the show with a large portion of the audience stuck outside due to long lines because the venue wasn’t able to accommodate the artists request to collect phones. John Mulaney was great.

  • Amazing show, bad way of getting in.

by Payton on 12/7/23The Santander Arena - ReadingRating: 3 out of 5

I absolutely loved the show but didn't get in until 8:30 because there was a giant line outside the door that went all the way down the street. I thought they wouldn't start the show with this many people still outside waiting to get in but they did so I missed the first half of the show. For a while there were only two lines despite there being multiple entrances. They really needed a quicker method to let everyone in. I actually went to this show on a different date in Ohio (I left early because of an emergency) and there were no issues with getting everyone in! So I know this was only and issue with this specific place for whatever reason. Again it was a great show, I love John Mulaney but the process of getting in to see it was awful.

  • Great concert. Bad venue.

by Tonytone on 12/7/23The Santander Arena - ReadingRating: 4 out of 5

Loved the John Mulaney show. Did not love the Santander Arena. It was a very long slow process to get in. The seats were incredibly uncomfortable, as the departure from the venue was almost as bad as getting in.

  • Johns been my favorite comedian

Johnny boy I know all your specials by heart. Don’t know how I got such close seats, but I did.

  • Yonder Phone case

by Matt on 12/6/23Bryce Jordan Center - University ParkRating: 4 out of 5

I’m not degrading John Mulaney in any way, but the fact we had to keep our personal devices/smart watches away in this Yonder thing and prevent us from using them was insane. If anything happened during this show and we couldn’t get to our devices, there would’ve been severe controversy and backlash. If the artist wants to make sure their content doesn’t get leaked or whatever who cares! We paid for the ticket. The show was phenomenal, and there were “designated phone areas” which was funny because I didn’t see any on the concourse.

  • Funny guy

by MJ on 12/6/23Bryce Jordan Center - University ParkRating: 4 out of 5

I liked this year’s version of John Mulaney, but not quite as much as Baby J. Laughed a lot and the only thing I could have done without was the section about his son. That could have been shorter but I’m sure he loves his son and like young parents wanted to share the wonderfulness of his child. I’ll still go to see him if he comes back next year😉

  • great show

It was a great show. Lots of empty seats though so the tickets could have gone for cheaper.

I love john mulaney. He is so quick. Great riffing to start as well.

by Caity on 12/5/23The Santander Arena - ReadingRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first John Mulaney show and I have been looking forward to it since I bought the tickets, and he did not disappoint!! The show was absolute amazing and I had a great time, I can’t wait to go to more in the future!!

  • Show okay, venue terrible

by Chris on 12/5/23The Santander Arena - ReadingRating: 3 out of 5

The comic was funny, not hilariously funny but funny. The venue was awful. Got there in time to enter but ended up standing outside for over an hour to get inside. Missed a third of the show because how long I took to get people through security and to lock away their phones. We were not even the last people in by far. There were people who waited even longer.

  • Awesome

by Mom of 4 on 12/5/23The Santander Arena - ReadingRating: 5 out of 5

John Mulaney did not disappoint! This was an early Christmas gift to our daughters (ages 14 and 11), and they were thrilled. My husband and I were equally as excited, and we all spent the 90 minute drive back home recounting the act and laughing. Hope to see him again one day. The only disappointment is we were hoping t-shirts, posters or other fan merchandise would be sold at the venue, but there was none to be found.

  • Great Show / Bad Entry Process

by LititzMike on 12/4/23The Santander Arena - ReadingRating: 4 out of 5

John Mulaney was hilarious; the show itself was great. What wasn't so great was the phoneless event and the process of entry into the arena. Everyone with a phone was required to put their phone in a provided pouch that locked. The process was extremely slow and created long lines and slow entry into the arena. Many attendees didn't get into the arena in time to see the beginning of the show, me included! Also the event information said the doors open at 7 and show starts at 8pm. There was no mention of an opening act, but there was one and they started sometime between 7 and 8; John started his set at 8pm. Information should have been better letting attendees know when the opening act was to start and ditch the phoneless event idea.

  • Disappointing

by Jen on 12/4/23The Santander Arena - ReadingRating: 3 out of 5

John mulaney was good although short. The venue was lacking. We arrived at the venue at 7:30 for an8pm show. We did not get inside the venue until 8:30 due to the lines being so long and poorly managed. We missed the opening act and first few minutes of John. Very upsetting.

  • Missed the beginning

by BB on 12/4/23The Santander Arena - ReadingRating: 4 out of 5

I can only wonder how many people missed the beginning of the show because of the lines to get into the stadium. I know I missed about 15 minutes after being outside for over a half hour.

  • Good show horrible venue

by Tt on 12/4/23The Santander Arena - ReadingRating: 2 out of 5

Dude was funny, definitely not funny enough to warrant locking up your phone. Venue was garbage, between the line to get in and the cell phone security nonsense we missed a solid 30 minutes of the show

  • yondr requirement

by GRB on 12/4/23The Santander Arena - ReadingRating: 3 out of 5

I would have appreciated being notified after purchasing my ticket that John Mulaney requires the use of a Yondr (a security pouch to lock up your phone) at his concerts. As a result of this requirement, the process of entering the arena was more time consuming than usual as each person had to lock up their phone in a pouch and then pass through security. The lines at all outside entrances were moving very slowly resulting in many of us entering after the show had started.

  • Mulaney was great; the rest was terrible

by Jeremy on 12/4/23The Santander Arena - ReadingRating: 1 out of 5

Arrived at 7:45 for the 8:00 show. Stood in line for 45 minutes along with HUNDREDS of others and when we entered at 8:30, Mulaney was already in the middle of his act. Not sure what time the opener started or how long they performed but the main act shouldn’t have gone on stage with hundreds of paying fans that showed up on time waiting to enter the facility.

  • Missed half the show

by Caroline on 12/4/23The Santander Arena - ReadingRating: 3 out of 5

I arrived a half hour early. However, the lines were around the block due to having two people doing the yondr process. It took me more than an hour to get in the door and John Mulaney was already on. Not sure how much I missed but it was a short show. What I heard was funny, but I paid a lot of money to stand in line and miss the show due to poor execution of the no cell phone policy.

  • Hilarious night with John Mulaney

by Heather on 12/4/23The Santander Arena - ReadingRating: 5 out of 5

Great venue to see one of my favorite comedians! So much fun!

  • Great show, John; Terrible experience, Yondr

by Allen on 12/4/23The Santander Arena - ReadingRating: 4 out of 5

John was everything I expected--funny, spontaneous, topical, timely, and fun! His new material was a real blast to hear. The experience with the Yondr bags for phones as terrible. I was in a line that moved incredibly slow, delaying our entry into the venue significantly. We weren't able to get to our seats until about 35 minutes into the event. We missed a good deal of John's routine. It was incredibly disappointing. the Yondr team and Santander need to plan much better for patron entry if this phone pouch will ever be used again for an event.
