Mr. Mayall put on a great show , the song selection was really good. His band were very tight behind him and John can still play and sing for a young man. Really good time , thanks Mr.Mayall.✌️
John Mayall was great! The band was on!!! Unfortunately the mandatory meal served by the Canyon was pretty disappointing.
Snow on top, fire in the furnace, the man is still cookin at 86. I became a fan lat, it 1969/70 with his Turning Point album, after that it was catch up. He was the training ground for virtually anyone of note. He has surrounded himself with the best of the best and he has a new crop of them along this time. An extremely talented and dedicated pioneer Bluesman, don't miss your chance to see him.
John is still a great performer and musician at 85 years young. Of course his voice isn't as strong as when I saw him and the Bluesbreakers some 40+ years ago, but he still puts on a great show. He's funny too! It was definitely worth seeing him again after so many years.
Was a great venue and John Mayall always puts on a great show. You can even find him selling his own signed CD's before and after the shows!
John Mayall is still on top of his music game after a rich history of blues magic. Don't miss a chance to see him in concert if you have the opportunity. The venue left a bit to be desired as chairs are not stadium seating and the visuals were not optimal.
At 84 yrs old John still rocks it. The drummer and bass player are also fantastic. Don’t miss your chance to see him, before it’s too late
This was a very enjoyable concert. Although JM's vocals are not stellar, he and his band were outstanding. Club Madrid was also a perfect venue in that it had the feel of a blues bar with very close interaction between band and audience. Most important, he is clearly passionate about his music and his desire to continue sharing it with his fans.
It is amazing that John Mayall is still touring at 84 but he still sounds good.
Unforgettable experience, feel like it was in good old time, very happy.
didn't know what to expect, saw John once before about 20 years ago, great that time and great this time, John along with his two piece band played for over 2 hours without a break, the acoustics for the Cohoes Music hall were great, will go there again for another show, ending with a big thank you to John Mayall
I loved him then (over 45 years ago) and was awestruck that he sounded just the same. The music and the trio were great.
What a talented man. Still has the magic. Makes sure his audience is having a good time. Very appreciative that he had a full house. Lots of white haired fans.
From the opening act of Bill Carter to the end of Mayall's blast of sound, this show kept the crowd on it's feet. I have been to hundreds of concerts, mostly in venues much larger than the Bearsville Theater, but the combination of Mayall's three peice group in the more intimate venue was magic. Would I go again? Oh HELL yes.
John and his superb rhythm section provided a brilliant night of entertainment. At 81 John is total entertainment. Plus he selects a rhythm section to accompany him that are magic.
Just 3 on the stage but, what a sound. Every song was right on target. I learned that Mayall in no 83 years young... he's amazing. A must see for all blues, and R&B types and fans of early rock. The bassist and drummer were both great back up, lots of talent.
Awesome. Great show from a true legend in blues John Mayell. Enjoyed tremendously.. show had only 3 performers, with an one of the best guitar bass players Greg Rzab and a drummer.
I got to meet John and purchase a CD from him right before the concert. It was wonderful he made himself so available to his fans. The sound and choice of songs were excellent and the music was great! I loved the little stories behind some of the songs and it was quite interactive. He sounded great and still rocks!
He is beyond fabulous but I missed his guartist rocky
I have been following John Mayall for more than three decades and while age may have robbed him of some physical attributes and may not allow him to hit some notes on his guitar or vocally, you will not notice it. Partly because his voluminous repertoire of songs and partly because he does not pretend to be what he is not. It is apparent he enjoys pleasing his audience and regardless of the size of the venue and the crowd. I am consistently amazed by his enthusiasm and performance.
