The show was awesome, however there was an issue with the sound system which I blame on the venue and not the show.
Sometimes you just want to hear and lose yourself in a nice long story. That's what this show does.
loved it wish hal spaks was in detroit but, iesha was so funny thought i was going to die laughing...
The Sexy Liberal tour was absolutely the BEST! John, Aisha & Stephanie were funny and sexy!
A very funny show with an excellent political slant! John, Alesha, and Steph were too much and made so much sense!
Loved the show! All three were great. Hilarious, but true, too. So much fun to be with like-minded people. Just felt bad for the people hoping to be part of the Q&A that did not get a chance to actually ask a question. People paid a lot of $$$ and should have been able to participate. Not enough time was allocated.
I listen to Stephanie Miller nearly every day and hoped the live tour would be even more wild than the on air antics. The Sexy Liberal Tour was funny and informative, but probably moreso if you're not a regular listener. I was also a bit surprised that the audience was so polite and low-key. It was good to see a lot of union members and I think they brought an air of respect and dignity that you might not otherwise have seen at a comedy gig in Detroit on a Saturday night! John Fugelsang is a fountain of insight and hllarious sarcasm, but he talked so fast, he lost me a few times! I do believe the acoustics at the opera house are not ideal for speaking events, particularly in the balcony, where we were. The first part of the night , the microphone kept cutting out as well. I was really happy to know that proceeds went to Planned Parenthood . I would have loved for Steph's radio side-kicks, Chris & Jim to be part of the tour--those guys are also very talented and funny!
John Fugelstang (spelling?) was really awesome. He had his facts and nailed so many comments right on. Aisha was OK, - a lot of cussing for 'effect'. We were disappointed in Stephanie Miller- we love her radio show but thought she fell short on the live presentation.
I had a wonderful time. All three were gorgeous, funny, intelligent, and deep. It was sooo nice to be around like-minded people. I'm thinking about catching them in East Lansing on 9/17.
So the Stephanie Miller Sexy Liberal Show in Detroit this past weekend was outstanding. Aretha Franklin was in the audience! And she was laughing hysterically... I took some video but honestly I can't hear it over my laughter in the background. It almost makes it funnier. Beautiful venue, and it was totally obvious that Stephanie, John and Aisha were peas in a pod. They played off each other brilliantly and the crowd ate it up. Including me.
Absolutely charming and invigorating. John Fugelsang is soooo smart. He needs to write a book.
I went with my neice and sat 6 rows back and the sound blew off my ears.... the mike kept quitting and way too LOUD ..terrible....John was the best and Ms Taylor was making it up as she went along.....little laughter thoughout her act......obvious of friend of Steph's..needs to work the comedy clubs...and most of all I came to see Steph and she had the shortest solo act of the 3 and she had to refer to notes on a clipboard...so unprofessional......they let the audience people ramble on instead of cutting them off like on the radio show...next time Ill skip this one...Nothing like the wonderful radio show...thought I was watching a high school production...John you wealth of knowledge is apppreciated.
Yikes! Stephanie Miller is hilarious, as are her two pals, John & Aiesha. I haven't laughed that hard in years. In this economic wasteland known as Michigan, we need every ounce of humor we can get! Tony Trupiano is the Voice with the Big Heart! We love you! You help inspire us to keep fightin' the good fight.
It was really cool seeing John, Aesha, and Steph together.
We saw the show in detroit with Aisha Tyler and John Fugelsang. They were hilarious, Steph was better as a moderator, which is more the format of her radio show. also, the Q & A is a great time to get up and leave!
it was great to see the performers. The content wasn't that funny, after all, but the energy was good, and it was enjoyable. There were some chuckles there but not really any big laughs per se.
Stephanie, Aisha and John were absolutely hilarious in the performance Saturday night!
