Great Venue Intimate environment Excellent entertainment Staff was very pleasant and helpful
nice mix of new cd and oldies, intimate venue, joe's voice was excellent and the house rockers were smoking
A good time was had by all! All of were shaking...not because we were cold; we were stomping and boppin' to the great sounds of all! Joe D'Urso surprised us with some non-stop rock 'n roll. Willie Nile was his usual self; he needs room because he loves to dance! He is awesome and if you have not seen him in person, he is multi-talented and he will rock your heart away! Joe Grushecky is the carbon copy clone of Bruce Springsteen; His voice carries throughout Asbury Park! Special guests joined in as well. Everyone of these guys is the best of the best; the best musicians in the Tri-State area!
Joe Grushecky & The Houserockers, Willie Nile Band, Joe D'Urso & Stone Caravan and Hans Ludvigsson delivered a high-voltage, entertaining evening to a house full of appreciative fans. The fun, friendly, sing-along crowd included Europeans already wild for the winning rockers Nile and D'Urso. Top-notch musicians, all around. Also loved those Johnny Pisano leaps! :-)
I'll admit it, I went to see Bruce Springsteen. I was very pleasantly surprised to find that Mr. Grushecky and his Houserockers are excellent as well. Joe and Bruce are old friends, and the show was the better for that. Lots of solos and humorous interplay.
There are a wide variety of concerts, but it's the special concerts that can never be duplicated that are the best. Joe and Bruce playing at Soldiers and Sailors was one of those shows.
I had never seen Bruce Springsteen play acoustically or in a small setting before and this was definitely better than his arena or large venue shows! He is a true talent and gets better and better with age!! We are looking forward to him coming back in the future!!!
It was like attending a Springsteen concert in a club setting. Springsteen played lead guitar on many songs like the days in the NJ bars before East Street band popularity. Seemed like he was having the most fun of everyone at the show !
Absolutely incredible. The venue, setlist, fans, etc. On his worst day, Bruce is better than everyone else. This was not his worst day.
Three and a half hours on stage, incredible energy and artistry. I'd pay any amount of money to see this show again. Bruce is legendary, Joe & The Houserockers were great. Simply amazing.
Legendary maybe the best night of rock this city has ever saw!!
Amazing and historical venue.Small and intimate. Took a roadtrip to Pittsburgh from NJ. Tickets sold out in what seemed like minutes. Lucky enough to get live ticketmaster agent who by luck and destiny pulled up two tickets. Other two tickets bought by default on Stubhub. Joe and the Houserockers always play hard whether in Pittsburgh or Asbury Park. Bruce, Joe, and the band relaxed, having a good time in an awesome setting with not a bad seat in the house. Just a blast of a time. So fortunate to have shared in the moment. Love the passion.
Show was unreal, Joe and the Houserockers were so good. But mainly, this was an epic night of Springsteen! MANY thanks to Joe for suggesting he play acoustic Incident, it was a history-making moment and sent the show into the stratosphere for most of the people there. Hope this Pittsburgh weekend becomes a TRULY annual event, I wouldn't miss it, ever!
This night took me back to the days at the Stanley Theater! Small venue, intimate setting, long show, awesome set list and a fantastic audience. There were times the place was rock'n and times you couldn't hear a pin drop! It doesn't get any better than this!
Joe Grushecky was on top of his game. Johnny Grushecky was mesmerizing rockin out on his acoustic guitar and Bruce....well what can you say, the man is amazing. Definitely check out The Composure, they really impressed.
It was a full Springsteen concert, with Grushecky and the band in a more intimate setting, great sound, incredible performances that totally delivered beyond expecations!!! A rockin', joyous experience!!!
Everything about this evening was great. From the opening band to the second Bruce left the stage. It was the perfect night.
The show was intimate due to location and the crowd rocked from start to finish!
I like the Joey G. & The Houserockers, but not for $80+ per seat. They use Bruce's name to comand a high price for tix, but he only did a few songs, and none of them kicked. Joe & Bruce can be amazing together, but they didn't get there last night. Pretty much the same show as last year ... my own fault for getting sucked in again.
Awesome venue for a concert loved the balcony to the right which was the side of the stage Bruce was on . It is so unbelievable that we fans in Pittsburgh get to see him play with Joe again . We are lucky
