Joan's voice is incredible. She was spot-on, and was excellent at engaging the audience. My only cirticism would be that she did too many covers, and not enough of her original work. Great performances overall, but I would have liked to have heard more Joan.

Rating: 4 out of 5by 1990fan on 11/12/09Shea's Performing Arts Center - Buffalo Rating: 4 out of 5 What a Voice!
by Daves1picks on 11/11/09Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloJoan gets immersed in her music, even when she isn't singing you can feel the music through her moves. Great selection of tunes, from Motown to Dead to Country to Revival, Joan brings her powerful pipes to them all. Only way it could have been better would be a longer show. Would have given it 5 star but she only sang for an hour plus an encore. I could have listened to her all night
Rating: 5 out of 5 Joan Osborne
by Cujo382 on 11/11/09Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloHas a fantastic gift. Her voice, her band everything just rocked.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Joan was hot!
by wh20moss on 11/11/09Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloSuperb show! Passionate, sensitive, funny, she connected with the audience and made a lightly populated theater very intimate. Her vocal range and interpretations of hers and other classics honored the music. The Holmes Brothers lifted her. Paul Thorn was funny, insightful and talented. To those who were there: we scored!

Rating: 4 out of 5 Too short
by Buffaloha on 11/11/09Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloJoan was great as usual but concert WAY too short.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Joan is awesome!
by BlueDevilMama on 11/11/09Shea's Performing Arts Center - BuffaloJoan Osborne's voice is incredible. Her opening sets were done with just keyboard/piano accompaniment and she just knocked you out. Her sets with the Holmes Brothers and the finale that included Paul Thorn were great as well. However, at times the music was too loud and nearly drowned her out. This was commented on by others as well. My husband and I have seen her in concert three times now and this most recent has to be our favorite.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Sophisticated, Elegant and Absolutely Amazing
by Tremendous on 11/9/09Emens Auditorium - MuncieOne of the best intimate shows I have seen in 2009 out of 17 different great performers. Warm and Personal. If you weren't there you cheated yourselves. Amazing is her voice that can sing anything with that much heart and soul and stage presence was Sophisticated and Elegant. Joan Osborne is another one of those must see at every opportunity performers..
Rating: 5 out of 5 Great triple-bill
by OldRaindog on 11/9/09Emens Auditorium - MuncieAs a fan of all three acts I was delighted to have the opportunity to see them on the same bill. The structure of the show was well-planned; Paul Thorn opened with a shorter (30-minute) set with a few new songs included. His "down home Tupelo" style and patter contrasted well with the precision of The Holmes Brothers. Joan Osborne opened with three songs with piano accompaniment and played the rest of her set fronting The Holmes Brothers. The combination works well and the covers of Motown classics were especially strong.
Rating: 4 out of 5 Great Cause!
by Cynnagyrl on 9/21/09Keswick Theatre - GlensideThis was a great cause, disappointed at the low turn out. Joan Osbourne was great, a top notch performance. Sharon Little, unfortunately was getting sick. A big thank you for Mary Beth for creating this event!!!
