Joan Jett grew up during a time when rock 'n' roll was off limits to girls and women, but as a teenager, she promptly blasted the door to the boys' club right off its hinges. After forming her band the Blackhearts in 1979, with whom Jett has become a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, she has had eight platinum and gold albums and nine Top 40 singles, including the classics "Bad Reputation," "I Love Rock 'N' Roll," "I Hate Myself For Loving You," and "Crimson and Clover." With a career that has spanned music, film, television, Broadway, and humanitarianism, Joan Jett remains a potent force and inspiration to generations of fans worldwide. As a producer, she has overseen seminal albums by Bikini Kill, and the Germs' LA punk masterpiece 'GI.' Jett and Kenny Laguna (her longtime producer and music partner) co-founded Blackheart Records from the trunk of Kenny's Cadillac after rejections from no less than 23 labels. 40 years later, Blackheart is a thriving entertainment company producing music, film and television, and continues to champion emerging bands. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts continue to tour the world with headlining shows and alongside fellow rock legends like The Who, Green Day, Heart, Foo Fighters and Alanis Morrissette (Summer 2024). 'Bad Reputation,' a documentary about Jett's life, premiered to critical acclaim at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival. Following up on the band's 2022 release Changeup, their first-ever acoustic album, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts' EP Mindsets was released as a Record Store Day First vinyl piece on 11/24/23. Concert was totally awesome up to the point where she did acoustic stuff..didnt sound good for her and we left as well as several other people..opening band was also fantastic venue was perfect and security was great...cant wait to see here again nxt month
The venue was great. Looking forward to additional shows at the Amp. Joan Jett delivered. Great show by a great artist. Hot Action Cop absolutely rocked the house. Fantastic group and show. These are some must as guys.
Awesome show. Her and her band was great!! Probably on of the best concerts I have seen. Sounded almost like hearing her off her albums. Amazing sound. One of the best moments of the night is when a little girl probably around 7 years old came down to the fence in front of the stage, I was in the second roll, and Joan in the middle of her song came down and stopped singing and spoke to the little girl, held her hand and gave her a quitar pic she was playing with. That to me says a lot about who she is.. Will for sure go see her again if she comes back to the area.. Her show is a must see.....
I thought the concert was great! Her voice has not aged at all. Overall I had a wonderful time. The warm up band was way too loud. I didn’t enjoy them at all.
I think Joan Jett and the Blackhearts put on a great show! I fun night reliving some great hits!

Sat in 3rd row and could almost touch Joan. But sadly could barely hear her or the others singing. The instruments were deafening though. Someone in my opinion did not do a proper sound check and all the vocals were being projected over our heads to the rest of the audience. Sill enjoyed see the concert, but it could have been a whole lot better!!
Song list was bad. Came to listen to her great hits. Not new stuff and other band’s songs. It was a short concert.
Joan sounded and looked great! I only wish she would've played a few more songs.
It was a beautiful evening for an outdoor concert. Joan and her band sound amazing! I wish it would've been a little longer. But we very much enjoyed it!
Show was Good . Brought back alot of old memories. Lighting was awesome. She was as Good as the first time I seen her in 1984 . Overall a Great show . Was only about 1 hour thought could of been a little longer.
Venue is great. Joan has definitely taken such good care of her voice. Loved the chatter, all the older tunes, and the acoustic songs from her new album. Just an amazing evening!
I love Joan Jett. She is an amazing artist and guitar player. Her never quit attitude is such an inspiration. I wish she would have played a little longer, but I could never get enough of her and her music. Keep rockin Joan!!
So we got valet parking which was great, the casino was very welcoming, once the show started we were welcomed in, the security helped my mom with a walker and MS into the elevator and then once we got through security and food, security spotted us and at no extra charged moved us to the front row. My mom and I are mega Joan Jett fans and my mom saw her when she was just a young woman on stage and the show brought my mom to tears. Thank you horseshoe and also the beer and liquor was generously priced.
Joan Jett was soo cool 😎 she was on stage 30 min late but she killed it 🤘 All her vocals were on piont and her band was very talented.
Terrible security with a half dead casino, go to the hard rock in gary instead
Joan Jett played very beautifully Sound was excellent , her voice is amazing, she was very nice with crowd, I highly recommend seeing for she plays all of her hits…
Good show, lousy version of cherry bomb 2 finish. Didn't play all her top songs. Played hour and 20 minutes.
There were several things that were good about the concert. She came on time which is big. I don't want to wait. She did many of her songs that are the most popular up front. I was surprised that she didn't come out for even a one song encore, or that she didn't play one of her old popular songs for the last song. I really expected her to come out and do Dirty Deeds or something that she hadn't done yet. Lines were not long, beautiful night, ample room to spread out, so I can't complain too much - still a nice way to kick off the summer season! Overall, good show, but I've seen her do better shows.
I took my girlfriend on a surprise birthday date and what was supposed to be a great concert was very disappointing. They started 30 minutes late and stopped at 925 was technically only 45 minutes of actual singing. Did not sing but a few hit songsr. On a scale or 1-10 I give them a 0, And not a type of person to complain
