JJ Grey & Mofro Tickets

He has an amazing voice and him and his band keep you going the entire show. Not a bad sound the whole night. thank you JJ Grey and Mofro for coming to our small town.

After years of being a fan of JJ Grey & Mofro, finally went to see them and it was worth the drive from Idaho Falls. JJ Grey is so underrated as a singer/songwriter/musician. He also has a great band behind him. Like JJ, I’m a native Floridian and can relate to his short stories about his songs. They played for a little over two hours. I definitely recommend seeing them if you have the opportunity. The Depot is a good venue. Typical club with standing general admission with what looked like a couple of rows of seats upstairs around the perimeter. No opinion on food, drinks or restrooms because I take care of that before going.

Wow Just Wow. Jj Grey blew me away in Sacramento a few years ago then again at Crystal Bay Casino North Tahoe. The Olustee tour was even better. Soundcheck VIP listening to the band working out the horns in Seminole Wind is something I wont forget. Talent energy and that special something made this show special.

JJ Grey and Mofro are stacked with talent, showmanship and that Lil bit of something extra that feeds your soul and puts stardust in your eyes.

Up front and so close you see the passion in his eyes that you hear in his music. Such a humble guy that loves his band and his fans! He made eye contact with as many people as he could add the crowd was excellent. Just good people who love good music, can't wait to see him again!

I've seen JJ and Mofro several times. Typically it's an amazing experience, but tonight was a bit different. It was a little odd from the beginning. First, this was a sit-down show. To my memory, I've never been to a show at the Fox with seats. It's normally all GA downstairs. It created an odd, subdued vibe for a high-energy R&B type show. Andy Frasco opened, who I also really like. He and his band were drinking on stage and were definitely pretty loose. I didn't think much of it, it was the opener, after all, but it turned out to be a bit of a theme for the evening. JJ and his band came on stage and let me first start off with saying, his two backup singers were amazing talents. Truly the shining lights of an otherwise mediocre performance. JJ came out and was immediately sipping on a cocktail or some sort. By the end of the evening, I swear he was chugging it. He kicked into some songs, voice strong. It's quite normal for JJ to tell stories in between songs, but his ability to hold a thought was definitely sketchy, even at the beginning. What's amazing to me, is that even in that state, he was still able to belt out amazing vocals. He would slow a song down to tell some story, or say some random thought that often didn't go anywhere, then kind of kick into the song again. It was like watching two different people. Honestly, had he just not talked, he may have gotten away with it. In the middle of the show, he brought out the guitarist from the opener's band. This guy must have been on multiple substances, because he went on to play what I can only describe as what you would hear if a 7 year old grabbed hold of a guitar that was plugged into a very loud amp and just started wailing on random strings. It was embarrassing. The final nail in this sad outing came when JJ decided to go lay down a solo on the B3 organ. He started getting into it, it wasn't working out, and you could see him just decide to cut bait and walk away. I've never seen someone of this caliber get that far gone during a performance. I'm not sure if this was the end of the tour, or JJ's having a hard time, but it translated into a bit of a sad show. I honestly hope he's doing alright. I would love to see him back as the powerhouse he can be.

Sat in 2 of the venues best seats - PIT Row B Seats 9-10!!! Row A is not as good due to stage height. JJ and his band absolutely Killed It!! Huge energy, he is a total performer and gives it 500%. Can’t wait to see them again! Plus, he’s a real cool dude - the VIP package and chatting with him was epic.

JJ and team provided one of the most amazing experiences i have had. Tight musicians playing with skill, energy and maybe love. JJ incredible vocal range and skill. What a night!

The musicality of this group is not to be understated. I love how they all share the stage, but man, JJ’s voice is truly amazing. Fan for life!

Ten piece band, JJ is a charismatic musician. Songs range from funk to rock to tender.

It was an awesome show as always even though JJ was not feeling 100% well. He kept on singing and got the crowd participating and made it another memorable night. He and everyone in his group are amazing!!

JJ Grey & Mofro are amazing! This was our third time seeing them and was just as great and fun as the other two times. His music is fun, and the way he and his band interact with the crowd makes for a great night! It's wonderful to see a diverse crowd of all ages! If he comes to your town, don't miss it!

JJ always brings it musically, with his own mix of rock, blues and soul. His positive spin on life, his family, and how he translates that through his music leaves his fans feeling full after every show. Not only through his bands signature musical style and interpretation, but also a gratitude that consistently translates to make you feel good when you leave a JJ Grey concert!

Excellent musicianship from a 10 piece band. What a powerhouse of sound and an amazing voice. JJ knows how to connect with an audience and pour into them.

Could not have been better! JJ and team gave a great performance! They are true entertainers and work hard! He seems down to earth and highlights each of his musicians with solos. The audience was extremely attentive and enthralled.

JJ and backup vocalists have terrific voices. Sax and horns were real standouts, too. Houston Of Blues Houston needs to get new letters at the ends of the rows. Many are missing and the others cannot be seen.
