Excellent venue. I aenjoyed every minute. I would highly recommend attending.
It was a great event with great teams for a great cause.
I think Madison Square Garden could do a lot more with the event. I mean people are coming from all over the country to see their college teams play at the world famous MSG, and their only entertainment is to watch audience members dance to worn out songs. They can see that at home. The draw is to see your team in an NBA arena, they should pump up the artistry, the music, and the entertainment.
MSU vs. Syracuse was an excellent game. The Kansas vs. Memphis game was a little less amazing. The crowd wasn't into it as much as the second game.
Jimmy Valvano was an amazing guy who lived life to the fullest, even when he knew that he didn't have long to live. That speech he made at the ESPN awards in 1994 will go down in sports history as one of the greatest motivational performances of all time. To attend an event named for him was truly an honor; to watch Kansas beat Memphis....that was just icing on the cake. Syracuse did themselves proud by beating Michigan State also. It was a great night of college basketball!
The teams that played were loaded with talent. Both games enjoyable. My seats were fine. For a NYC event they were reasonably priced. I wanted better seats and would have paid for them but got shut out by the requirements for early purchase.
This was a really great event, lots of energy and excitement watching teams that don't normally play each other unless they make it to the tournament in March
Would have liked to see a Spartan win in New York City, but still a great venue and would definitely do it again.
Games were great, but the very drunken Syracuse fans were terrible. Alcohol should not be served at COLLEGE sporting events whether on campus or a professional venue.
The most electrifying experience i have had in my terms of watching sports. i do wish that there were specific designated sections for each team during ticket sales. there were far too many fights and as a syracuse fan i was being harased by michigan state fans. kind of took away from the experience.
Really enjoyed my first time at the Jimmy V Classic and Madison Square Garden. Great crowd and win for the "home" team.
EXCELLENT EVENT. TEAMS WERE EXCITING CROWD WAS ENERGETIC AND ENTHUSIASTIC AND EVERYONE HAD A GREAT TIME. COMPETITION WAS THE BEST.
I could not make the event, and missed a good one.
The Great thing about the event was the Jimmy V tapped speec at half time . THE WORST PART WAS THE KANSAS FANS SMOKING ON THE STAIRS--and letting the usher know who did not seem to care. So much wrong with this--think about it we are at a basketball classic raising money and awareness for CANCER. also in todays day and age the usher should be a little concerned about smoking in the stairway
Although my seats were in the last row of the highest section I still had a great view of the court and really enjoyed the way the arena filled up with supporters for the Syracuse men's team! It was a great for my first college basketball experience
Awesome game, Awsome time, Awesome win for Cuse. Go Cuse!
MSG is a great venue for college basketball. always a great time!!
What can I say.... for $ 21 two games featuring 4 top 20 teams, three of which were top ten...!!! What an incredible bargain for the college basketball lover. As a Kansas alum the opportunity to see my guys out east was a can't miss event....The only thing that was lacking were the school bands....it kinda took away from the college atmosphere and traditions, I'd have liked that. But overall I'll go to this event every year!
This was a great game and great event, I would recommend people attending this.
