The Brown County Music Center is a great place to see a concert. It has great acoustics, you have good views of the stage from everywhere and the parking is very convenient. Jimmie Vaughn was great to listen to. He's still got what it takes to be a Texas Blues musician. His band was also great, each one a virtuoso in their own rights. I hope they come back soon, I'd come back to listen!
I had not ever heard him before, but my husband had and wanted to go, so I tricked him for over a month before he found out I had bought us tickets. I had also decided not to watch anything on the net to be influenced, what a god decision! The concert was awesome, this rock and roll gal really had a great time! I didn’t know Texas Blues could be so energetic and enjoyable!!! I truly hope they come back to Indiana SOON!!!
Everything about this experience was just great! Venue is excellent. Jimmie Vaughan and the Tilt A Whirl Band put on a really great show.
The venue at Minglewood Hall was amazing. The band was perfection. Jimmie Vaughan was at his finest. Texas Blues is alive and well and rocked out Memphis, TN.
HOB is the best Really enjoyed Jimmy Vaughn looking forward to Led Zeppelin II in two weeks
Jimmy played the old and the new kept me entertained all night wish it didn’t have to end
Jimmie was unknown to us as we knew his brother Stevie Ray. But greatly enjoyed his guitar sound and abilities. The opening act definitely had ability but came off as repetitive and too loud.
I enjoy a variety of blues performers - some are too loud, some are monotonous, some are copy-cats. Jimmie Vaughn was awesome! He is a star and such an accomplished performer! From the first song, I was head-bopping and finger-snapping to his catchy rifts and driving tempos. He is the real deal - other performers have a lot to learn from this master.
The Cozy Cabot theatre in Beverly is a great spot for an intimate concert. Jimmy Vaughn and the Tilt a Whirls did not disappoint. Catchy Texas Blues with a solid horn section and a great back beat. Jimmy's vocals were amazing, reminiscent of his brother. But he stood on his own, fantastic show and kept bringing the blues to a new level.
Great show by all of the musicians. JV played 2 hours straight without a break. Dedicated man to his craft
Such a great show. He is a consummate professional whose performance speaks to the everyman. Soulful and authentic without the false bravado. So talented and gracious.
Jimmie came out with the Tilt-a-whirl Band and rocked the house. Great mix of Texas Blues, Rockabilly and good old solo guitar. Texas Horns were a great complement. Played for 2 solid hours and did not disappoint.
Jimmy and the Tilt-A-Whirl band played great show. He had fun with the audience during some interaction. The venue is a great place to see a show. Small and intimate with a good sound system and team
Great show at a great venue! Jimmy still has "it" and the Texas Horns were awesome!
Great little venue. Awesome show. Talented guitarist. Security was a distraction more than helpful. He kept running beside the stage and chasing people down - the only downfall.
Jimmie Vaughan was excellent and we would go see him again. The venue is a strange set up(we've been there before so it was no surprise). It is somewhat like an L and the band is set up in the corner so both sides can see the band-but the band members often say they don't know which side to look at. So we only saw the side of the band most of the time. The main problem with the venue at this concert was one side was nice and cool and the other side was stifling. We were sweating. I did not buy the cheap tickets either. That being said Jimmie was worth every penny and then some.
Jimmie played for nearly 2 hours. His Tilt a Whirl Band was tight. Sound was great at the Ludlow Garage. The intimate venue gave us the opportunity to see one of the greats in fine form. Hard to believe Jimmie has the stamina to play as hard and as long as he did without missing a beat. Truly a pleasure to watch him play.
Band was great horn section was super.Jimmie rocked on guitar.King Solomon Hicks was a excellent choice for the starter.Great voice
We sat a few rows in front of the mix board. The bass guitar and kick drum overpowered everything. I’ve played professionally for over 40 years and this was a terrible mix. Amazing that the sound guys couldn’t hear it. This was an older crowd and we saw people leaving. We ended up moving to the balcony where it was better, but still ended up leaving early. We’ve seen Jimmie Vaughan before and the mix was never an issue. Very disappointing.
