One of the best shows I've seen in a long time. He sang all the hits with his awesome band backing him. The venue was nice and the sound quality was excellent.
Jim’s voice is still mellow. The band was superb, especially the sax, flute clarinet bongo player (don’t know his name). Abdo room is very comfortable. Over all fantastic 2 hours.
Couldn’t have been a better night, nice venue at the Filmore Underground…Jim Messina did not disappoint !
My wife and I drove 10 hours to see Jim in Charlotte, NC. The venue was moved but Jim and his band came out and delivered a great show. He is very talented as a song writer, producer and musician. Very glad I had a chance to see a legend and hope to see him again soon.
Should figure out how to seat people without having them actually being on top of each other. .....especiallly when covid and the flu are around. The person in front of me had to change seats because she was so squeezed in. Just saying! Don't think I'll be seeing any future shows in the pavilion.
Great lead vocals, spectacular backup singers, amazing instrumentals, plus all my favorite songs, and a wonderful, intimate setting- a perfect evening!
The concert started out a little slow, but soon those 5 musicians showed us what they were made of. Jim has always loved to jamm, and his band carried on like some real veterans.
It was a warm, wonderful, and fun show! JM, a seasoned professional, had a great band. He hit all the right buttons. The show was thoroughly entertaining. I was so glad to have attended.
Jim Messina was fantastic in concert. His voice was great, his guitar playing fantastic and the band was amazing. It was so great to see him in Charleston. He hung around after the show and sat on stage and had a Q&A with the remaining crowd. He was so personable, articulate and friendly. Would go to see him again in a heartbeat
Great arrangements, great guitar and vocals, amazing percussion and sax player too. Jim’s recognizable voice brought memories from all those years from Buffalo Springfield, poco and L&M. Nice venue too!
I went thinking this will be an okay concert. Well, I was so enthralled! Jim & his band were the best! half of the seats were vacant. The people who did not attend missed an excellent performance. The sax player made the whole band stand out. He had an array of instruments & sounds that was amazing. Charleston Music Hall is the best venue around!
Jim Messina still has it. Great to hear his hit songs again. Wish there was more spacing between chairs.
Loved the recap of his personal history in the industry. True professional.
The show was Great much more than I expected Jim and his Band are Great musicians if you get the chance to see I would highly recommend
Jim Messina has been one of my rock heroes since his early days with Poco and even more so when he was with Kenny Loggins. He has never been in concert anywhere that I have lived and I never expected to ever see him live, so when I learned he was coming to Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, which is my favorite spot for good concerts, I was thrilled. The concert far exceeded my expectations, as he was as good as I hoped he would be and had a back up band as good I’ve ever seen. The meet and greet after the concert was an unexpected bonus that capped off a great night. My nephew and I especially enjoyed it, as we have both played music all our lives. Thanks PVCH.
Fortunate enough to obtain seats at table right at stage which was grand, especially since we traveled from Ohio to see Jim & his band - come to Cleveland, Jimmy!! Enjoyed the set list: many L & M songs! Loved the Whispering Waters! Band was so good!
Waiter was inexperienced. Our food came out 20 minutes apart. Some food never did show up. Waiter didn't seem to care. Waiter returned my bill for signature but misplaced my credit card. It was eventuaaly found on the floor near another table. Manager snickered at our review when handed to him. Oh, and the speakers quit working during the performance and the band had to leave the stage for 20 minutes while they fixed it. Not so great a value.
Jim Messina's voice is as smooth as it was 45 years ago. His band is tight and together it was a terrific concert.
Jim gave a great performance. The accompanying musicians were fabulous. Food was good, and the service was fine even tho our server had to leave due to an emergency. Sat at the bar top tables in the back - perfect view!
Warmup act, Johnny Jensen was awesome. Messina was fantastic--hardly got rattled when the speakers blew midway through his set. Sounded like rain pouring in and he joked that "someone decided to take a shower". Problem took about half an hour to fix but all were patient and understanding, especially Messina. Great band. Food is so-so. Stick to something simple or appetizers.
