We have been coming to Jim's Christmas shows for a number of years. Every show is spectacular! Jim is a very gifted and talented pianist. You can see that from the quality of his shows and the orchestra, singers and dancers he has chosen. Jim puts so much feeling into every song he plays. Even when the show has ended, you always want more. We have all of Jim's CDs and are looking forward to more.
Jim and his team put on a wonderful and magical show. He is very entertaining and highly engaging with his audience. We had a wonderful time!!!

What a wonderful way to spend a snowy afternoon---listening to this amazing artist play along with his orchestra and singers. The set was gorgeous along with the costumes. Will definitely be going again.
This is a very talented man. Grew up in eastern Iowa so has roots there. Because of this the audience could really identify with him. I have been to all of his performances in the Quad Cities and look forward to each year's program. His orchestra and singers & dancers are excellent as well. Very good entertainment. I admire talent of any kind and Jim fulfills that admiration.

I have been to several of Jim's shows in the past and they are outstanding. He is very talented and we have enjoyed ever minute of the shows. The shows are top-notch and will be sure to not disappoint you. I also have about 8 of his CD's and find so much peace listening to his piano music.
So happy to see Jim McDonough again this year. His show is beautifully done and his piano playing is just magnificent! I could listen to him play for hours and be the happiest person around. Took a friend this year and he was moved by the joy of this production. We can't wait for next year!

Jim's music was so beautiful! The orchestra & singers gave the show interesting layers. Jim draws in the audience with his warmth & genuine love of music. He makes it feel like a cozy show, while offering sensational, fun music comparable to a big-time show. My young daughter & I both enjoyed the show. I'll go again when he's back in town!
If you haven't seen a concert of Jim McDonough, you're missing a fantastic musical treat! He is a terrific pianist, as well as a great showman, and a good singer as well. With a wonderful orchestra backing him up, he presents a concert of mixed genre music, but nearly all that are easily recognizable. An interactive portion of the program gets the audience involved, and he certainly keeps your attention; you can hardly believe the time is up when it's over. AND when it's over, he always greets those who care to wait in the lobby, signing CDs and programs, taking pictures, etc. An absolutely delightful way to spend an afternoon or evening, and wonderful food for the soul!!!
Jim's talent is amazing! We will never forget his "Burlington" concert -- Jim accepted requests from the audience and played them all with grace and ease .... never have seen anyone who is able to do that "off the cuff" with such precision! Congrats on a great performance, Jim. We hope to see you back in Burlington again soon! Merry Christmas! We bought several CDs for Christmas presents and play your CDs daily!
My favorite new holiday tradition, my 4th straight concert at Hoyt Sherman. Alone, with a friend, or a bus tour his music transports you and soothes your soul. Incredible music and great showmanship in a beautiful venue. Love all the CDs too!
Jim McDonough is perfect example of an extremely talented and versatile pianist, who lets his whole heart show throughout the performances. I have been attending his shows for many years, I started out in Dubuque, IA - driving 2 hours in cold and snow just to see him. Luckily he comes near my home now in Davenport, IA. His command of the piano is exciting and awe inspiring. Then he starts to sing and one is overwhelmed with the talent. He sometimes plays solo, and sometimes has a magnificent orchestra and dancers and singers to accompany him. All proceeds are for charity Camp Courageous. The generosity of his spirit and honesty of performance touches my heart and it lasts though out the season. I wish he could show all his facets of his experiences in one show. I have the honor and privilege of having a history of seeing so many performances that makes each performance more touching.
Jim McDonough's "Holiday Grande 2014" came to Burlington, Iowa last week and was OUTSTANDING! WHAT a TALENT! SUCH a well put together concert! Thoroughly enjoyed myself, ESPECIALLY when he closed the first half with Barry Manilow's "Because It's Christmas"!!! Tears streaming down my face!!! WONDERFUL talent! WONDERFUL concert!! PLEASE COME BACK!!!
