About

THE BEGINNING . . . Jim Breuer, born on June 21, 1967 in Valley Stream, Long Island, has established himself as one of the most outrageous comedians in the U.S. through his incredible stand-up performances, charismatic stage antics and impressions, various television appearances, movie roles and his Sirius Satellite Radio show.   A stand-up comedian since his high school days at Valley Stream Central High School in Valley Stream, New York, Jim worked in comedy clubs around the country for several years before deciding to become a regular on the New York comedy club circuit. After being in New York for only seven months, he landed a gig on the nationally syndicated show, "Uptown Comedy Club," where he spent two seasons.   HITTING IT BIG . . . In 1995, Jim joined NBC's "Saturday Night Live," becoming best known for his original character "Goat Boy" and his impression of actor Joe Pesci, resulting in the recurring "Joe Pesci Show" sketch.  Word of his uncanny imitation of Pesci spread to the actor himself, who later made a surprise appearance on "SNL" to confront the comedian -  creating one of the most memorable skits in the show's history - which was later featured on the documentary, "101 Most Unforgettable Top SNL Moments."   In 1998, after a four-year stint on "SNL," Jim starred in the movie "Half Baked," alongside of comedian Dave Chappelle.  That summer, MTV also invited the comedian to be a host on the popular show "MTV's Beach House," which featured Jim strolling the New Jersey shore boardwalk with hidden cameras. Additional appearances include numerous stints on NBC's "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," as well as roles in several movies, such as "Dick" (1999) and "Once in the Life" (2000), and in 2006, he made a cameo appearance in Artie Lange's movie "Beer League."  Also in 2006, Jim was named as the new host of VH1's popular show "Web Junk 20," where he guides viewers through the top 20 viral clips of the week.   ON THE ROAD . . . Jim Breuer pioneered the "heavy-metal comedy" revolution, combining his love of rock ‘n' roll with comedy.  Backed by a full band, Jim continues to entertain packed crowds with his impressions of AC/DC's Brian Johnson doing "The Hokey Pokey" and Metallica singing "If You're Happy and You Know It."  In July 2007, word of Breuer's uncanny impression of Brian Johnson spread to the rock god himself, who personally requested that Jim sing with him live onstage during a John Entwistle Foundation benefit concert at BB King's Blues Club in New York.  The comedian joined Brian Johnson onstage to perform a hilarious duet of Breuer's classic version of "Hokey Pokey," followed by an encore performance of "Highway to Hell". Jim's "Heavy Metal Man" comedy tours also feature a mix of routines that have become cult favorites, such as "The Wizard," "Coming Home at 4 a.m." and "Party in the Stomach."  This revolutionary style of stand-up comedy secured Jim a spot on Comedy Central's list of the "100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time."  Following his hour special on Comedy Central, Jim was invited to be a special guest host on "MTV Icon: Metallica," VH1's "Rock Honors" and Comedy Central's "Roast of Denis Leary."  Unlike other comedians, Jim also shows his fans a softer side with his "Family Man" show, where he brings hilarious anecdotes about being a family man to life through charismatic stage antics and impressions.  Nothing is sacred, as Jim introduces the audience to his family, telling side-splitting stories about his Dad (a.k.a. "Shuffles"), going to tap dancing lessons and gymnastics with his daughters and more. Throughout the years, Jim has also supported various charities through his comedy, including the Chris Farley Foundation, VH1 MusiCares, his local police and fire departments and more.   UNLEASHING ON FANS . . . In 2004, Jim began his career at Sirius Satellite Radio as the host of his own show "Breuer Unleashed" on RawDog 104.    Along with co-hosts, comedian Pete Correale and his high school buddies Larry Schneidmuller and Jimmy "Shaka," "Breuer Unleashed" takes listeners through a wide array of topics from music to family and friends to baseball and more.  A variety of guests have appeared on "Breuer Unleashed," ranging from legendary rock stars like AC/DC's Brian Johnson, Metallica's James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, Rob Zombie and Willie Nelson, to comedy greats Chevy Chase, Bill Cosby, Denis Leary and Dave Attell, and celebrities like Howard Stern, Luke Wilson, Matt Dillon, Sugar Ray Leonard and more.  Airing live weekdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. EST, "Breuer Unleashed" is celebrating its third year on Sirius.

  • Exceedingly Hilarious

Between the opening act with Rich the funny guy and Breuer's comedic antics, I don't think I've ever laughed so much and for so long as I did that night1 Definitely worth every dollar spent and then some! It's nice to see two comedians who can still be completely entertaining and slide-splitting without having to add cursing in the attempt to be funnier!

  • Jim Breuer is hysterical!

What a great show! I have seen him many times on SNL, comedy central, etc. He continues to deliver a worthwhile experience, keeping us up to date on his perspective, his family, and the world around him. Glad to have purchased tickets and I will definitely come back to see him if he visits the Triangle area in NC.

Jim was hilarious! His opener, Rich, was also hilarious! I had a cold, and it hurt to laugh as much as I did, but I couldn't help it!! Really fantastic show.

My husband and I attended this event with several friends and laughed from start to finish! Jim's opening act was equally funny! I would definitely attend another of Jim Breuer's shows in the future. You won't be disappointed in the energy and stage presence. Outstanding performance!!!

  • Jim Breuer Rocks!

by MathMomma1 on 3/3/15House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

Jim and his opening act were awesome! It was a great show that just happened to be pretty much clean. What was weird is that I didn't really notice the lack of profanity because we were too busy laughing so hard. It was by far the best comedy show I have seen since Jim was last in Houston about 16 years ago.

  • Laughed the Whole Time!

by tikirocker on 3/3/15House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

One of the funniest concerts I've seen in awhile. And it's Lent, so I gave up alcohol and that means all my laughing was pure and sincere, not buzz-induced. ;-) I haven't seen him in awhile so most of his material was new to me but I'd be lying if I said that I didn't want to hear "Party in the Stomach" close every one of his shows - sorry, but it's just hysterical. But I love watching how his humor has evolved over the years and how he incorporates family stories into the show. Trip to Africa - too funny, had me in stitches, The bit about Ozzy Osbourne, James Hetfield, Brian Johnson & Angus Young going to Sears was ridiculously hysterical!! Too many high points to list - just go see him yourself. OH - the warm-up comic, Rich Aronovich, had me in tears. Very funny guy. I'd like to see him headline.

  • Jim Breuer's 1st Houston Show!

by mellownando on 3/3/15House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

Great actor, greater comedian! Hilarious story telling, excellent mic handling, Jim Breuer shows Houston what a comedy show should be. There's a reason he has the most watched comedy special on Netflix right now, and it's much better live.

This man is simply Awesome! What a great show, the venue was the perfect setting for a personable experience with a long time great! If he were to come back 10 times I would try to go see him 11! This is a rare comic show that is younger people friendly, he doesn't use fowl language I find that very commendable. Impeccable show impeccable venue, PLEASE BRING HIM BACK HOB!!!! • Jim Breuer Rocks!

by Piranha62 on 3/2/15House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Loved experiencing Jim Breuer ! Not too hip on the view, and the bartenders were loud, so it was hard to stay engaged at times, but Jim Breuer overcame this distraction. I would definitely go see Jim again.

  • OMG Jim Breuer Rules!!!

by RED8840 on 3/2/15House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Jim Breuer is the man! He is funnier than Ever and put on an awesome performance!

  • Breuer's needs some new material.

by Piranha62 on 3/2/15House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 2 out of 5

Really not much new from previous comedy specials. Jim needs to step it up or I wone't waste my $$ to see another of his shows. Also, it was a very short routine.

  • Bruer rocks the House!

by quicklime on 3/2/15House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 4 out of 5

Bruer is an extremely talented standup. This was a very stripped down version of online performances I've seen (Jim and a stool). No backing band. Actually, I could have done with a tad more production. He often does full bits imitating rock bands (AC/DC, Metallica, Ozzy), with instruments to back the gig. None of that here, and light on the rock stuff. Even so, very intimate and relaxed night of comedy. No strict routine. Jim ran off course and riffed on many things Texas, audience members, family, etc. All in all a great night with one of the kings of live comedy.

  • Absolultey Hilarious

All i can say is that if you haven't seen Jim Breuer live...you are missing out. This show was awesome. I laughed so hard at one point, noises I have never made came out of my mouth

  • Jim Breuer

by Redead on 3/2/15House of Blues Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Breuer is amazing!! I've seen a lot of his stand up and I laugh until I cry every time!! Most of the staff at the House of Blues...not so much. We came across some staff that were good but most were horrible. One of the guys on the balcony, was plain rude. We nicknamed him the, "Ticket Troll." If someone I wanted to see was playing at the HOB's I would go back but I wouldn't be happy about it.
