About

THE BEGINNING . . . Jim Breuer, born on June 21, 1967 in Valley Stream, Long Island, has established himself as one of the most outrageous comedians in the U.S. through his incredible stand-up performances, charismatic stage antics and impressions, various television appearances, movie roles and his Sirius Satellite Radio show.   A stand-up comedian since his high school days at Valley Stream Central High School in Valley Stream, New York, Jim worked in comedy clubs around the country for several years before deciding to become a regular on the New York comedy club circuit. After being in New York for only seven months, he landed a gig on the nationally syndicated show, "Uptown Comedy Club," where he spent two seasons.   HITTING IT BIG . . . In 1995, Jim joined NBC's "Saturday Night Live," becoming best known for his original character "Goat Boy" and his impression of actor Joe Pesci, resulting in the recurring "Joe Pesci Show" sketch.  Word of his uncanny imitation of Pesci spread to the actor himself, who later made a surprise appearance on "SNL" to confront the comedian -  creating one of the most memorable skits in the show's history - which was later featured on the documentary, "101 Most Unforgettable Top SNL Moments."   In 1998, after a four-year stint on "SNL," Jim starred in the movie "Half Baked," alongside of comedian Dave Chappelle.  That summer, MTV also invited the comedian to be a host on the popular show "MTV's Beach House," which featured Jim strolling the New Jersey shore boardwalk with hidden cameras. Additional appearances include numerous stints on NBC's "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," as well as roles in several movies, such as "Dick" (1999) and "Once in the Life" (2000), and in 2006, he made a cameo appearance in Artie Lange's movie "Beer League."  Also in 2006, Jim was named as the new host of VH1's popular show "Web Junk 20," where he guides viewers through the top 20 viral clips of the week.   ON THE ROAD . . . Jim Breuer pioneered the "heavy-metal comedy" revolution, combining his love of rock ‘n' roll with comedy.  Backed by a full band, Jim continues to entertain packed crowds with his impressions of AC/DC's Brian Johnson doing "The Hokey Pokey" and Metallica singing "If You're Happy and You Know It."  In July 2007, word of Breuer's uncanny impression of Brian Johnson spread to the rock god himself, who personally requested that Jim sing with him live onstage during a John Entwistle Foundation benefit concert at BB King's Blues Club in New York.  The comedian joined Brian Johnson onstage to perform a hilarious duet of Breuer's classic version of "Hokey Pokey," followed by an encore performance of "Highway to Hell". Jim's "Heavy Metal Man" comedy tours also feature a mix of routines that have become cult favorites, such as "The Wizard," "Coming Home at 4 a.m." and "Party in the Stomach."  This revolutionary style of stand-up comedy secured Jim a spot on Comedy Central's list of the "100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time."  Following his hour special on Comedy Central, Jim was invited to be a special guest host on "MTV Icon: Metallica," VH1's "Rock Honors" and Comedy Central's "Roast of Denis Leary."  Unlike other comedians, Jim also shows his fans a softer side with his "Family Man" show, where he brings hilarious anecdotes about being a family man to life through charismatic stage antics and impressions.  Nothing is sacred, as Jim introduces the audience to his family, telling side-splitting stories about his Dad (a.k.a. "Shuffles"), going to tap dancing lessons and gymnastics with his daughters and more. Throughout the years, Jim has also supported various charities through his comedy, including the Chris Farley Foundation, VH1 MusiCares, his local police and fire departments and more.   UNLEASHING ON FANS . . . In 2004, Jim began his career at Sirius Satellite Radio as the host of his own show "Breuer Unleashed" on RawDog 104.    Along with co-hosts, comedian Pete Correale and his high school buddies Larry Schneidmuller and Jimmy "Shaka," "Breuer Unleashed" takes listeners through a wide array of topics from music to family and friends to baseball and more.  A variety of guests have appeared on "Breuer Unleashed," ranging from legendary rock stars like AC/DC's Brian Johnson, Metallica's James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich, Rob Zombie and Willie Nelson, to comedy greats Chevy Chase, Bill Cosby, Denis Leary and Dave Attell, and celebrities like Howard Stern, Luke Wilson, Matt Dillon, Sugar Ray Leonard and more.  Airing live weekdays from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. EST, "Breuer Unleashed" is celebrating its third year on Sirius.

I seen him like 7 years ago and he was funny then but this was outstanding! I am 6 months pregnant and after the show, I laughed and coughed so hard that, I cramped up a little bit! He was hilarious and it was fresh and authentic! The show all together was 2 hours long, I think he was about 1 1/2 hours! I love the bears den, it's cozy and up front and personal. I would highly recommend seeing him!

Jim was awesome- we are still laughing. The venue was too cramped but his show and the opening comic made up for it.

  • Absolutely hilarious but not for everyone

If you believe in vaccine mandates or are the kind of person who wears two masks outdoors you will definitely not enjoy the show (although maybe it would be good for you to hear it haha). For the rest of us sane people it was fantastic. So funny. And his opener Monty Franklin was top notch

  • finally a truly funny act

I haven't laughed this hard since I was a kid. Great show from someone not afraid to tell his latest true life experiences in an extremely funny way. Don't listen to the political parrots out there. GREAT SHOW JIM. THANK YOU!!!!!

My wife and I took our grown kids and spouses for a night out that included Dinner and then a comedy show at Potawatomi Casino in Wisconsin featuring Jim Breuer. All I have to say is Jim Breuer never disappoints and probably one of the best Comedians to be found! Great show and the Theater at Potawatomi was very comfy and enjoyable. I would definitely go back again! Bapa

  • Great venue, sadly, a terrible show.

Jim's comedy used to be one of our favorites, but his references to Nazis, making fun of old people, anti-vax rhetoric, and such were a bitter pill to swallow after leaving my 90yr old Jewish aunt's bedside for what we thought would be comic relief. We were incredibly disappointed.

  • Great Show!

  • Jim Breuer 10-2 Milw

    by T.J. on 10/5/21Potawatomi Hotel & Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Event Center - MilwaukeeRating: 2 out of 5

I am a big Jim Breuer fan and have been for a long time. I have to say that I was a little disappointed with this show. Too much political stuff. It's ok to hit on some of the hot topics of today politically, but not spend an over-abundance of time on it. I'd say anyone in their 20's probably did not appreciate the show- I heard the grumblings from many people around where I was sitting and then outside of the venue. He also did not do any of his acts, from years back, that got us as fans in the first place. Such as goat boy- he didn't touch it.

  • Not Bad

    by BG on 10/5/21Potawatomi Hotel & Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Event Center - MilwaukeeRating: 4 out of 5

The Northern Lights Theater is a nice venue to hold a show for a comedian of Jim Breuer’s caliber. However, i felt this was not his best performance. Although he is always entertaining, I could have gone with less COVID. I think we all are kind of past that and are trying to look for better days.

  • Lots and lots of tears

    by UncleRoddy on 10/4/21Potawatomi Hotel & Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Event Center - MilwaukeeRating: 5 out of 5

Jim's had time to reflect on the world and now that cities are realizing shut-downs are not the answer, comedy is back. Jim came out swinging hard with all-new material although he did work in an AC/DC bit. Jim left most of the theater in tears with his expert synopsis of politics, the fear-mongering pushing vax mandates, and travel. My wife and I haven't laughed that hard in years. Felt very good. His secret weapon of the night was a cockatoo impression.

  • Great show!

Jim Breuer never disappoints. He had my husband and me crying, laughing from the start to finish of his act. We especially loved his take on the entire covid debacle!! His wisdom and wit come together in the most hysterical way. We get tickets every year when he comes our way. And every year It's a most memorable, fun experience! Jim Breuer is the best medicine for healing laughter, especially in these times. I highly, highly recommend his show!!!
