"We are not stand-up comedians. Our show is not a passive, sit-back-and-watch experience. Most of the fun we have on stage comes from our inclusion of the audience – we get suggestions from them to begin each scene we perform, and in certain instances, bring them on-stage with us to add to our performance. It's less a ‘show’ and more a party. At least it feels like one to me. This group of actors brings me right back to how I started out in comedy – maybe that's why we have so much fun doing it." – Jim Belushi
With more than thirty years of experience and an alumnus of “Saturday Night Live” and Chicago’s famed Second City, JIM BELUSHI is now bringing to the stage an improvised comedy sketch show featuring members of the Board of Comedy.
Belushi starred on the ABC hit comedy "According to Jim,” on which he also served as executive producer, music composer and director. After wrapping 182 episodes for its eighth and final season, the family favorite series also hit a milestone when it launched into off-net syndication in 2007. A favorite of film, television and stage audiences, Belushi is one of the great leading character actors equally at home in drama and comedy, and a gifted performer who can also hold a room as front man of a rhythm and blues band. Accompanying Belushi are Megan Grano, Larry Joe Campbell, Brad Morris, and Joshua Funk*, all of whom are classically trained professional improvisers who tour regularly nationwide.

Different than I expected. It was all improvisation. Talented guys. Girl was ok (tried very hard) and I think probably just had an off night. She DID do an excellent job of putting an idiot heckler in his place. Enjoyed that. Lol. Very hard comedy to do and can be all about what you have that day. Think they needed the first half to warm up. The second half was much better and was easy to see as the crowd got more into it. Ya gotta love Jim Belushi. Great guy. Love his movies and that's what I believe he does best. He's a excellent actor. Not a great stand up comedian, although entertaining. Would rather see him in another movie. Don't get me wrong ... very much has the timing and delivery for big time comedy, and he's an hugely funny guy in sitcoms. Definitely a guys guy. Very down to earth. Worth the price of admission that night.
Fun show with a lot of interaction. Really funny stuff.
AWESOME SHOW< AWESOME COMEDIANS!!!!!!!! WOULD DEF SEE AGAIN
Improv! Not what I thought it would be! Foul mouth name calling suppose to be funny it was not.and that was just Jim Belushi!!! The Chicago Board was Amusing. Won't go again!
Fast paced, funny, funny, funny. As advertised and met all expectations!
He came out playing the harmonica which was great! If you like skits this is the show for you, However, it was like Whose Line is it anyway and not very funny at all. He asked the audience to shout out subjects to do the skits and there were so many people shouting ideas it was a mess. I left the show after 30 minutes my friend stayed and she said it didn't get any better. There were quite a few people who left and felt the same way. He did mention at the opening that he was not a stand up comedian and he is correct. If I had of known that; I would never have bought tickets. Extremely disappointing after seeing Bill Cosby!
This was not what I expected it was more skits than a comedy show. I was expecting more from Jim!
We flew in from Chicago to catch Jim Belushi and the Chicago Comedy Club, and were not disappointed. We had excellent seats, but every seat in the theater was great. Jim and the group performed improv and made us laugh. It was especially great to see Jim and Larry, who have a chemistry just like on their hit show, "According to Jim." The only disappointment of the night was losing the CD and autographed picture we bought and had signed from Jim at the end of the show! If you can catch this act, I would highly recommend it!
Laughed the whole time. Very funny. Great seats and loved the autographs after the show
The content was as expected from Belushi, funny and original. Show was entirely too short. I thought the 'end' was a break. This was expensive for a one hour show.
Awesome! Enjoyed it so much. All of them were funny I could not believe how fast on their feet they were. Wish it would have been longer and/or we would have had a Meet & Greet. The venue is beautuful. Our seats were wonderful
Thoroughly enjoyed show--however, very short performance for $$$ paid. Interaction of Jim with audience was great. Wished it were twice as long.
The show was great--very funny. Improv was impressive--they were all inventive & quick. I didn't like the "gun" references when they were talking about kids (too soon) but it's gotta be difficult to be on stage with a large audience waiting for you to say something funny. All in all, a great show!
It was only 70 minutes long, Was not funny at all. Very disapointmented. Would not go again.
the show was ok. i everyone was very funny. show lasted only hour and half was to short for the price i payed for thickets.
We had great seats for a great show. We would see it again
The improv was great, of course. The problem was with such a large audience, there was alot of yelling and screaming when they wanted suggestions. Maybe if they would poll the people waiting before the show and have a huge board with envelopes and they could pull the envelopes....and if something off the wall shows up then ask the audience, "who suggested THIS???" The Rialto is an incredible theatre and the Chicao St pub, across the street was awesome.
The show was very entertaining. Jim is such a regular guy and very friendly. My husband and I actually caught him and Larry on therir way out of Thayers restaurant and they were both very friendly. The improv show was different than the normal comedy shows I have attended but it was very funny and amazing to see how much tallent Jim has along with his son Robert, Larry, Jon and Brad. If he comes back next year I would definitely consider going again. I respected the fact that in the audience was an idiot yelling out unecessary comments and Jim put him in his place. Thanks Jim. There is always one in audience who ruins it for everyone. Glad Jim put him in his spot at the beginning of the show so that the rest of us could enjoy the show. Way to go guys. Hope you enjoyed your visit in the old sweet home Chicago or should I say Joliet.
They were good! I would love to go back and see them again in a theater with better seating. They kept audience involved in the imporov and that was great.
