    Jesus Christ Superstar delivers again!!

by Mikey on 4/3/13The Oncenter Crouse Hinds Theater - Syracuse

I have seen this show every year for the past few years and I am never disappointed. The cast is phenomenal. The only complaint I have is that the sound person didn't turn on mics at the right time, so some of the singing was missed. Other than that, I highly recommend the show.

    Jesus and Judas were exceptional.

    by thisiscrazy00000 on 4/1/13Keswick Theatre - Glenside

I never saw Jesus Christ Superstar when I was young when it first went on stage. My mom wanted to see it at the Keswick Theatre this past March 30,2013; I really did not want to go, So, because I love my mom very much, I purchased two tickets. She had seen it before and loved it. This was my first time, and I truly, truly thought it was wonderfully portayed following the Bible. The actors were great, especially when they had to stand so still for a long time. The music and singing was great and so loud, I love loud music at a concert or in a movie theatre. It would be great if everyone could see it at some time in their life.

    Jesus Christ Superstar

by BulldogRescue on 4/1/13Keswick Theatre - Glenside

I did not know what to expect. I have seen it on Broadway. We traveled from South Jersey and WAS NOT disappointed. All the singing was right on the mark. They are exceptionally talented individuals. I was not all in agreement with the interpretations, but that is insignificant. The theater was comfortable as well. They may want to think about installing another women's bathroom. That was my only complaint was the long line to the bathroom that almost made me miss the opening. It was a beautiful way to include my teenager in Easter week "observance".

I usually don't write reviews. Show far exceeded my expectations. Band was spot on. Actors were great. I plan to make this an annual event.

    A real Superstar!

    by Giggles0318 on 4/1/13Keswick Theatre - Glenside

My husband and parents were privileged to see Jesus Christ Superstar on Saturday. What a powerful and riveting presentation of the production. The lighting was awesome! As a former Stage Manager, who managed three productions of Superstar for a community theater, I can honestly say that the Director is spot-on on understanding how to put on a phenonemal show... I can't wait until next year to see your production again!

Mary Magdeline was amazing. jesus seemed too old for the part. i thought it was strange how it ended, they did not all come out for an encore and to bow. we were all sitting there waiting for them to come out.

    Jesus Christ Superstar was disappointing

by JerseySeanmhathair on 3/31/13Keswick Theatre - Glenside

I am sorry, but the production in no way lived up to one I saw decades ago. There was a family in front of mine in the theater that shared the same view. There was no energy on stage; the beautiful music and dancing I remember were not evidenced in this play. Sad to say, but I've seen better high school productions. I apologize for being so negative, but I thought I would be giving my grandchildren a memorable experience. When that didn't happen, I felt cheated.

    Unbearable

by schmoog on 3/31/13Keswick Theatre - Glenside

From the first note that came out of Judas's mouth this play was awful. I saw this play on broadway and it was one of my all time favorites. The sound, stage, choreography, overall event was terrible. It was less than an amateur attempt. I was very disappointed and so were the people that I attended the event with. Will make me think twice before seeing another show at the Keswick.

    Really great!

by BobHH on 3/31/13Keswick Theatre - Glenside

The actor who played Judas was FABULOUS! Amazing voice and by far the best. I also thought that the actor who played Simon was fantastic as well. The entire cast was very professional and outstanding. People all around us were texting and filming the show and I wish the ushers from the theatre would have been paying attention and not allowed this because it was causing a distraction to both the people sitting around them and also the cast.

Everyone was great, cast, staff, ushers, etc. would have been a little better if Jesus could have hit higher notes, Put more emotion into it. But all in all, it was great and I hope to be there again next year. Also, having the cast up and down the aisle so often was a little distracting.
