A good braodway play should move you. Not this show. No one was stellar. Ted Neeley is like company at Christmas, know when to leave! Mary was better but not great. Very disappointing!
I was in my early 20's when JCS was first released as a movie starring Ted Neeley. So I had my reservations about this version. But I was totally amazed by his voice. This was the best "replay" of JCS. And getting to see Ted Neeley in person as JC was excellent. The entire cast was excellent. It's hard not to want to sing along or dance in the aisles. It's a MUST see for everyone! You will not be disappointed by JCS.
what a wonderful performance!! great singing voices. Ted Neeley as jesus was just magnificient. Judas put on an amazing performance and all of the lead performers were outstanding. a vivid portrayal of one of the most controversial moments in history. the crucifixion scene is breathtaking and Neeley was again superb. a must see!!!
I thought all the singers were really strong and I enjoyed them all. Neely has somewhat still got it but at 67 years of age he has had better days. Still overall very enjoyable.
I had always wanted to see the musical but living where i do, i thought i would never get the chance. It was AWESOME. Ted Neely was great. Beautiful music, Beautiful voices, everything was just beautiful. I am never speechless, but after seeing this, i was just blown away, there was nothing i could say to describe how great this event was. I am so glad Bismarck is finally getting these types of event in town. I'd love to see more. Thank you to the cast and musicians of JCST for coming here and to the people who made it possible for them to be here. thank you
Ted Neeley is amazing. His voice is so great. The dancing was fabulous. Oh, yes the story never gets old.
Slightly disappointing. Saw the presentation in Fargo approximately 4 years ago and thought it was excellent. This presentation seemed to drag. Singers were not top notch. Ted Neeley was good, however, not his best performance. Age may be a factor. People leaving were not raving with excitement. Disappointing considering the miles we drove to see a spectacular performance.
Jesus Christ Superstar was a great performance. Unfortunately, the weather in ND is different daily and we had a storm and it was tough to get there...half of our party didn't make it as they were 150 miles away further than what we were but we took a chance and made it. I grew up with the music and movie and it holds a special place in my heart and was fortunate to have the opportunity to go on Ted Neeley's final tour.
The energy was there! The voices excellent! The story well told! Thank you for this wonderful piece of art. When Christ was speaking to God about giving up His life, I felt a gut wrenching feeling inside due to His voice, His pain, and the light show. Even though the ending was done well, I wasn't quite sure that the musical had ended. I waited for a grand recession or "larger" music or something different than what I saw. Overall, it was excellent, well worth the price of the ticket, a memory not to be forgotten.
