With the release of Jesse McCartney’s new single “Better With You” — his first new music since his well-received 2014 album ‘In Technicolor’ — it’s worth noting that the New York-born singer, songwriter, producer, and actor has had the kind of career that most young artists aspire to. With multiple platinum-selling tracks and a songwriting credit on Leona Lewis’s “Bleeding Love” under his belt, McCartney is ready to introduce his fans to who he is today.
His fans have been waiting almost four years since ‘In Technicolor,’ one of Spin Magazine’s Top Pop Albums of 2014. "It was a transitional time where I just let myself have some space from my career and get some perspective on life, something I really hadn’t had the freedom to do since I was 10. Then, a friend invited me to come to Nashville to do a songwriting camp for other artists,” McCartney recollects. “It triggered a huge surge in creative energy that led me to put this project and team together.” Now that he’s moving, McCartney has no intention of slowing down. He plans to release more music throughout 2018 and bring his dedicated fans along for the ride.
The deliberate attention McCartney pays to his craft is evident in the new songs he is gearing up to release this year, including “Better With You,” which he co-wrote with Brandyn Burnette, Molly Moore, and producer Rob Knox (Justin Timberlake, Rihanna). The acoustic-guitar-driven pop song is more sonically organic than the stylized, ’80s-inspired songs on In Technicolor and McCartney has re-vamped his visuals with art direction by Dewey Saunders (Anderson .Paak, Bridgit Mendler). “It feels fresh to me,” McCartney says. “This is a really strange time,” he says. “Things are contentious. I think a song about finding a safe place with a partner is an uplifting message.”

I got to live out yet another childhood dream and I couldn’t have been more excited. That was the best was to end my birthday night! I just keep going back and watching videos over and over. Ugh!😍
My best friend and I had the best experience! The location was right in downtown Louisville, walking distance from hotels, food, and more. The staff at the Louisville Palace was quick to help or answer any questions you may have, and if that person didn't have the answer, they redirected to someone who did. It was clean and we felt safe, especially learning the security measures that take place during entrance. The concert was phenomenal. Jesse delivered his absolute BEST performance and then some. Meet and Greet was super quick, which was the only sad part of the night because you didn't have much time with him. Jesse made the concert everything a person could ask for. If you haven't been, I recommend!
One of my favorite concerts it was great energy and the place is beautiful!!! Would 10 out of 10 recommend and go again myself!!!!
I’ve loved jesse mccartney since his first album beautiful soul and I’ve been a fan since it’s been a dream come true to finally see him in concert and hope to see him soon again and I had a blast seeing him he puts an amazing show!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😁😁😁
Jesse was AHHMAAZZZING. The venue was okay, chairs were uncomfortable and were zip tied together so you couldn’t move them. So I felt like we were sitting on top of the people next to us.
This concert was everything our millennial hearts needed and more! Jesse’s still got it!
Best concert ever, I’ve been too many but this has to be one of the best, I also felt very safe there was a lot of security. I had the time of my life everything was a great experience. I do wish the chairs were more separated, I didn’t have enough space to move around. I do wish I could’ve purchased a more VIP, but his concert was amazing his performance made the night worth it.
It was my birthday and it just so happened that you was doing a concert that night not only did I get to see him I also got to meet him one of the best night of my life it was definitely a dream come true ❤️
The venue was pretty organized with its lining up system. I got in pretty early and got a good spot up front. Jesse did not disappoint! Solid setlist and great performance! Everyone was going crazy!
Jesse was amazing! Phenomenal performance. Vocals were perfection, dance moves were on point, and his interaction with his fans was admirable. He was very nice at the photo op. Extremely appreciative of his time.
I’ve been a Jesse McCartney fan for over 20 years since Dream Street! Seeing him was an absolute highlight of my life! He sounded amazing and I loved that he held a smaller more intimate concert and was very interactive with his audience! 10000/10 recommend seeing him! I will definitely be attending another one of his concerts whenever he’s back in town ! One of the best nights I’ve had in a long time! Thank you Jesse!
Ultimately it was a great experience, I only had an issue with one of the workers giving 21+ wristbands, I asked a simple question if I could get one before going in (since they had missed my spot because I was in the restroom) he gave attitude, misinterpreted my question and in the end left a sour note in my night - a simple yes you can still get one up front if we missed you in line would have sufficed. Overall I really enjoy the venue, its intimate and easy to get to, i love going to shows here - and this show was great, a little overcrowded which made it a little extra warm but hey thats what happens with smaller venues :) lol
Jesse McCartney is one of the best performers! He puts on such a great show and clearly loves what he does. He also has such a beautiful voice. Highly recommend going to one of his shows.
Always a good time at Jesse's concerts! I like the smaller, more intimate venues. I got the meet & greet package which allowed me to be right at the front of the stage! Amazing! My only criticism is I feel the M&G could have been before the show or started sooner. It was a Thursday night and many of us came from afar.
What a great concert Jesse puts on! His vibe and his stage presence just gets you going. The song choices were excelent, just enough oldies mixed in with the newer ones! The opening band was awesome too, very entertaining and fun! Been a Jesse McCartney fan since 2005 and I was very happy to be there witnessing his talent first hand and being able to meet him post show!! Definitely worth the price!
Jesse McCartney put on an amazing show, but the venue was very lackluster. Standing room only, with no actual room for the amount of people in the room to stand. Felt crammed and unsafe as the people were blocking the ways to the exits and standing in the hallways. I just feel like they way oversold and it dampened the experience for everyone.
This was my first concert and glad it was at HOB. /y only regret was not being able to snag those VIP seats when I had a chance! Will definitely comeback!

Overall he did a great job. He sung a mix of the classics he has and the surprisingly good new stuff. Absolutely worth seeing again, especially when he is in a smaller venue
