Jesse is a terrific musician who knows how to put a song across much the same way as Springsteen with that personal touch but also with the punk sensibility of Joe Strummer. A charismatic performer.
Jesse's shows are what concerts should be... raw and real. His passionate performances are mesmerizing. Jesse has an incredible energy that is infectious. It's always a thrill to see him on stage! If you have not seen him yet.... you must. His music is extraordinary.
This show was incredible such a powerful band.He went on for 2hrs,So much energy .I would see this band again anytime.At one point he came out in the audience and made everyone sit down on the floor,he called it occupy the pony.made you feel like you were part of the show.
We loved the show!! It was our third time seeing Jesse, once at Count Basie and at Light of Day, The band was free to really let go and do what they do best at the Pony. The place was hopping
I think it was probably a good show except that the sound was so loud and distorted that it was impossible to hear any vocals from Marah or Jesse and the music just sounded like noise. We pointed this out to the guy working the sound board and he just blew us off. I've been to many shows at the Pony and love going there, but this show was a big disappointment due to the awful sound. I'd certainly recommend seeing these bands but somewhere else.
