JERRY SEINFELD ON TOUR:
Whether he's delivering hilarious one-liners from his iconic television series or sharing jokes with fans on stage, Jerry Seinfeld has had audiences cracking up for over 25 years with his legendary sense of humor. An internationally recognized household name for his eponymous '90s sitcom, dubbed by TV Guide as "the greatest television program of all time," Seinfeld is also a brilliant stand-up act, never failing to deliver outrageously comical performances. As one of comedy central's "100 Greatest Standups of All Time," there's little doubt he'll have audiences in stitches with his witty, relatable humor on tour in 2014.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Jerry Seinfeld got his start in 1976 at a local open mic night in New York City, but it wasn't until several early-'80s appearances on the Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson that he reached mainstream recognition. As creator and co-writer of Emmy Award-winning sitcom Seinfeld, he appeared in every episode of the show's nine-season span. Since his days on the show, Seinfeld has launched his own web series titled Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, and put his comedy in writing with the 1993 book Seinlanguage. With more than two decade of stand-up gigs under his belt, Jerry Seinfeld will have fans falling out of their seats in hysterics on his 2014 comedy tour.

I was introduced to Jerry Seinfeld's comedy through my husband who is a big fan of his show and knew each episode by heart. Seinfeld's episodes grew on to me and as for millions of other people, he became a household name for me. His comedy isn't only intellectual, but it brings together life's daily simplicities and leaves you with bursts of laughter while trying to dissect the sarcastic, yet intelligent twisted mind of Seinfeld. The Seinfeld show at Jones Hall was a surprise gift to my husband who was overjoyed with the purchase of the tickets. Seeing his reaction when Jerry Seinfeld came on stage, is most definitely unforgettable and oh so priceless! I am still raving about the show with family and friends and I've been recommending all of them to see his show. The energy, the enthusiasm was just amazing. Seinfeld's act kept us laughing non-stop all the way until the end. I wish to see more of his shows. Next time, I will purchase a seat nearby the stage. I would love to see his face expressions while he is joking away carrying a serious demeanor behind the mask of pure hilarity. A night out to Seinfeld's is a night full of enjoyment and laughter guaranteed!
Though it wasn’t a ROFL kind of comedy I expected from Seinfeld it was definitely a great show and worth every penny. It was clean and crisp like all Seinfeld jokes he does maintain dignity in his humor by not taking cheap shots at others like most other stand ups do.
Enjoyed the show from the start till finish. My wife has never had any Seinfeld exposure and is now a fan. We both enjoyed the show and from the standing ovations it was obvious that was the feeling of the crowd. Hopefully he will come again... he most definately was surprised at his warm and welcome receiption... plus another followup show had to be added for the crowd demand.
His stand up is very much like the humor in his show. I was worried maybe he would not be as strong without Larry David writing for him. He put to rest any worries I may have had in the first 5 minutes of his set. Simply outstanding. I saw Dave Chapelle live in a small venue in houston in 2000 and Seinfeld's set was just as good which is huuuuge praise.
Absolutely loved the show. The opening act was equally entertaining.
I was a fan of the sitcom, Seinfeld, and was super excited to see Jerry live. He did not disappoint! I would recommend the show. And his opening act...cannot remember his name...was super funny too!
The show was great. The guy who opened for Jerry was halarious. My face hurt by the time Jerry took the stage. Jerry was his usual casually funny self. It was definitely worth the tickets.
He was alright, kind of hard to hear up in the balcony at times.
I was disappointed that there was very little new material since Seinfeld's last Houston show. We also went to see him in NYC a few years ago - same jokes. If I had known it was the same old material I wouldn't have gone to this 05/2009 show. I really like Jerry Seinfeld, but when I buy a ticket for a performance such as this, I expect new material.
I'd give 3.5 stars if I could. He was funny, but not as good as I expected. Possibly had built expectations too high. Frequently spoke very fast and mumbled. I thought a couple of the bits were a little dated. Like the coffee thing and cellphones. Would have been more original a few years ago. The opener was quite good.
It was good but really short. It seams like they had to open another show after mine and Jerry had to hurry up.
Unbelieveable performer. Very funny, and very good with the crowd. A must see!
This being my first time seeing Seinfeld live, I was really hoping that it would be as funny as his show. He did not disappoint. We laughed..a lot... as he put his spin on the humor of everyday life. Great show!
I was disappointed with the performance. The opening act was funnier than his unfortunately. I was a fan of the show, but the show was much funnier than his stand up. I was not impressed at all.
The timing, material, and delivery are still there. This was no pro athlete trying to make a sad comeback. This was a performance of a true professional.
He is great. He will always make you laugh with really smart ideas.
I ABSOLUTELY love Jerry Seinfeld...but, this show was definitely not worth the $$ or the time. Sorry, Jerry...time to hang up your hat! You can only fimd so much "nothing" to talk about....this nothing, really was NOTHING! It wasn't really even funny...even with Jerry's delivery. I'd rather remember you through reruns!! ....Saw Dane Cook a few weeks later.....laughed the entire time hysterically!
Great performance, not too short, not too long. Great material. The opening act Comedian (I don't remember his name) was as good as Jerry's!!! It was everything I expected and more!
The starter act was better than I thought it would be. I took my mom and we laughed all the way through the show. I would recommend this show to everyone.
