Jennifer Nettles music has been with us for so long, it is easy for ticket buyers to forget that she is only now starting her journey as a solo artist. For nearly a decade, Nettles has lent her alternately smoky, soulful and sassy voice to the country music duo Sugarland, and in the process netted two Grammys to go along with five Academy of Country Music Awards, and five #1 Country singles. During those years, Sugarland's music grew exponentially, with 2010's The Incredible Machine, an album filled with anthemic rockers meant to fill stadiums, expanding the very idea of what country music is and can be. Now, after the Georgia native took time away from her band's relentless tour schedule to become a mom, Nettles is spreading her wings as a solo act. For "That Girl," the first single of the forthcoming record, Nettles builds on the other woman persona that she adopted in the Sugarland hit "Stay," adding sultriness with the addition of Latin rhythms. With legendary producer Rick Rubin at the helm of the new project, it's safe to expect even more surprising platforms for Nettles's rich, emotional instrument both on record and in concert.
Overall 5 performance! Sound was great and the crowd was awesome!!
Everyone rates what they enjoy highly. Jennifer Nettles, simply put, without bias, is gifted and that puts her talent and delivery on a different level. She walks this planet with a gift from heaven. A personable, funny and excellent speaker when introducing a song, she has powerhouse vocals and range and every song she sings is captivating. I immediately tried to search to see if her tour was coming to another area near Nashville, where I saw her concert on Feb 20, 2014. She is, now, one of my favorite entertainers, of all times, with staying power.at that ranking. If you love to witness gifted artists, you simply will not be disappointed with Jennifer Nettles. Breathtakingly gifted singer.
I thought Jennifer Nettles was really good. full of energy, awesome voice, great to see her in Nashville where she could bring up some friends and associates. Totally enjoyed. Brandy Cook opened for her, who was also, not only a talented song writer, but a talented singer as well.
I haven't been to a concert in several years. This concert was absolutely amazing! It was worth the wait and worth every penny!!
Jennifer is an outstanding performer and has that stage "charisma" that makes it so pleasant to attend her concert and so easy to be a fan. I didn't realize that her talents included playing the guitar and the piano. The range she has with her singing voice is amazing. She is a dynamic entertainer. The Ryman did a wonderful job with the stage decorations and using the lights as part of this. I would recommend without reservation that anyone attend this concert in this venue.
We had a nice time. Jennifer is a wonderful singer. Some of the songs from her new album started to sound alike...same themes, similar tempos. It was great to hear the two Sugarland tunes. A few more of those would have been better for the first "proper show" at the Ryman. Also, would have been nicer if the show ended with an exciting rocking tune....and not a Chevy commercial song. That was disappointing.
She is a great singing and entertainer. Her voice is so strong, she can sing any type of song and sound great.
This was a horrible concert. Most people were leaving before she was done singing. The band was so loud that you could not hear her sing.
Great concert. Great venue. Jennifer really delivered! And Brandy Clark is a WV Super Star for a very good reason! Did you know Jennifer reads and responds to Twitter? Definitely made a few locals feel like celebrities.
Jennifer provided us with an awesome concert. She was very personable with the crowd. I love how she took a picture with one of the members of the crowd and had interaction with the crowd. Also, I like how she looked up on twitter some information on some of those in the crowd and mentioned it to everyone. She rocked the show!

WE HAVEN'T BEEN TO A CONCERT FOR ABOUT 15YRS BECAUSE WE ARE RAISING OUR 2 GRANDCHILDREN . AND I CAN SAY FOR THE BOTH OF WE ARE HAPPY WE CHOSE JENNIFER & THAT GIRL
Jennifer is a fabulous live performer. Better than her recorded versions!!! So impressive!
Really enjoyed the concert. Jennifer Nettles was great. Her voice is amazing and she really connects with the crowd. She makes you feel like she talking to you like any normal person would do. She so down to earth and made you feel like she was really happy to be in West Virginia.
Excellent voice,as usual. However missed the bantering between her and Christian Bush-she is much more energetic with him around. Also missed the upbeat music as her selection was just a bit reserved-probably geered toward the more mature audience. I missed the old Jennifer Nettles and her music!!!
I was very exciting for this concert. I am a huge sugar land fan and Jennifer didn't disappoint!!!!
First time at the Rocksino. It is new and very nice. Venue OK, room for improvements. Opening act Brandy Clark was very good. Think will be hearing from her for a long time. The intermission was way too long. Jennifer Nettles did not dissapoint. Could listen to her sing all night long. Her new music is great. Wonderful show, well worth the time and money.
If you liked Sugarland you will love the new Jennifer Nettles on the That Girl tour. Her performance was electric. Very high energy from the start. She showed her talent in being able to change seamlessly from one song to another. She started the show singing the title song to the tour "That Girl" playing the guitar. She effortlessly transitioned from guitar to piano to various other guitars. The show had great momentum. Overall I think she sang for about 90 minutes. She ended the evening appropriately with a cut from her new album, Thank You.
Even though I didn't know all her new songs she was fantastic and I loved hearing them and also bought the CD! she did a fantastic job! kept my full attention the whole night!!!
THis was an awesome show, she sang her album and did a few Sugarland bits! She has a wonderful voice!!!
Awesome venue. Acoustics great and jennifer nettles never disappoints!!
