    Jekyll & Hyde

by Crayburn on 11/14/14Emens Auditorium - Muncie

The play was absolutely fabulous! The cast members' chemistry both on and off stage was great. The understudy stepped in for Jekyll/Hyde and did an amazing job! There was intense drama with a little humor added. Would highly recommend seeing this show performed by this theatre group.

    Jekyll and hyde

by Rod56 on 11/12/14Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

Excellent show. It was sad that the show was not a sell out. Lots of empty seats. The performers did a great job and more people should have taken advantage. Would love to see the show a second time.

    Good talent, rest mediocre

by SueJenn on 11/12/14Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

The music in Jekyll and Hyde is beautiful, and was well done by this cast. The actor playing Jekyll/Hyde was exceptionally good, as was Lucy. We thought all the other areas of the show other than acting were rather amateurish, below the standards we expected for a National Tour of a show. Most of the time the pit orchestra was good, although at times the bass on the electronic keyboard was up too high. The sets were rather simplistic, as were some of the costumes and wigs. Cast was very small, with few women in the ensemble. This resulted in most of the characters in Bring on the Men actually being men in drag (funny, but not really going with the plot). Even the "playbill" was just one page that looked like they ran it thru a copier. Overall, we enjoyed the show but felt it more of a well done community theater show than it was a National Tour (and thus the ticket price too high).

    Jeckyll and Hyde worth seeing

by tired3 on 11/11/14Hippodrome at France-Merrick Performing Arts Center - Baltimore

Cast was great! Excellent voices. The lead Dr. Jeckyll/Hyde put an amazing performance in! Particularly with as difficult a performance as this role is. The sets/production value was not great but understandable for a 2 day set up.

The Jekyll & Hyde I Always Wanted

by Wild4Wildhorn on 10/29/14Lexington Opera House - Lexington

Since I first heard the Original Broadway Recording of Jekyll & Hyde in 2005 (The 1997 album), I've wanted to see this play live. I have the David Hasselhoff dvd, but it is nothing in comparison to the live performance. The moment the orchestra began to the final bow, I couldn't take my eyes off the stage. Jekyll was brilliant and obsessed, Lucy was spirited, and Emma was as adoring to Henry as I always imagined. The casting was perfect and the execution flawless. The moment the play was over I wanted to see it again. There were a few areas you'd think they would use more effects or props, but they made it work. You heard, felt, and believed what you saw on that stage, and that is what the theatre hopes to accomplish. If I could only see one play this year, THIS would be it. I would recommend this production to anyone who loves the theatre, musical or otherwise. If I could, I'd personally thank every member of the cast and crew for an experience I will remember for the rest of my life with great fondness.

    Mesmerizing Performance

by kr122785 on 10/23/14Lexington Opera House - Lexington

We thoroughly enjoyed this performance. The actors were so talented and fit their respective parts perfectly. The songs and special effects were very good, but the sets were not great. If the sets were upgraded, we would give this 5 stars instead of 4. My husband and I were both very pleased with this event. We were very fortunate to have this at Lexington Opera House.

Jekyll and Hyde Great Actors Didn't Need Gimmicks

by Sirkutter on 10/22/14Lexington Opera House - Lexington

Usually Jekyll and Hyde's lead character will rely on another actor to play Hyde or the use of wigs etc. Aleks Knezevich used only his talent and a cape for his transformation into Hyde. Actors like Peter Lorre, and others of old, Aleks used only his face and body language to completely become the evil Mr. Hyde. It was particularly amazing during one of the final numbers where he switches continually between the two personas. The rest of the cast was great as well. The accompaniment was all done with a keyboard, computer keyboard and drums. It was excellent. I'd totally see this production again.

    This play/musical was fabulous!

by Senhari on 10/22/14Lexington Opera House - Lexington

My granddaughter and I attended the musical. It was the first time we had seen it and we loved it! We were so surprised at how wonderful it was! I was visiting in KY and cannot find it playing anywhere near where I live so my husband can see it too. Aleks Knezevich was truly talented as the main character and played both parts well!

    Would pass on this one.

by Luvaws on 10/22/14Lexington Opera House - Lexington

The performers were amazingly talented singers. As far as an overall show, it lacked stage presents. When it was over, I didn't feel that WOW factor! Especially considering the cost of the tickets. I have gone to local theatre productions that cost a lot less, but much more entertaining.

    Jekyll & Hyde was Outstanding

by SilverSix on 10/17/14Broome County Forum - Binghamton

I was absolutely delighted that I attended the showing of Jekyll & Hyde at Binghamton. It was outstanding. The main characters, especially Aleks Knezevich and Laura Helm, were terrific. The ensemble was great. The effects were wonderful. The staging was also done quite well. The only complaint I might have is the seats are a little narrow and there were no CD's or anything to take home with me.

    Great Show

by KRtheatre on 10/15/14Broome County Forum - Binghamton

I have spent weeks listening to the music for this show to get myself very excited about seeing it. I was not disappointed. I took my aunt and she started to cry at the end because you loved it so much. The actors were great. They sang all the songs beautifully especially the popular songs the show is known for. I recommend this 2014-2015 tour of Jekyll & Hyde, so if it rolls into a town near you I would get tickets.
