It was really great to see the "old" rockers on stage. And some of the fill-ins, like Kathy Richardson, were really terrific. The music was rockin' - but the overall feel of the program was "yeah, we're disorganized, but who cares." Really sad. The idea to project footage from Woodstock on the back wall was brilliant...but it wasn't lined up correctly. The picture was at the bottom of the back wall and covered by drum sets and amps. We could hardly see anything. It was like that all night - no one seemed to want to fix it. Then what was projected seemed to be just a trailer of some sort, so the same footage kept repeating. Not cool. There was so much that could have been done with that - like having footage of Canned Heat projected while the current band was on stage, etc. Having Country Joe out front while band set-ups changed was a good idea, but again, the disorganization of that was distracting. Then the set itself had no thought put into it. Music stands were set around in front of keyboards so while Tom Constanten was playing, we couldn't see him. Overall feel - good sound but visually disappointing.
