Jeff Foxworthy is one of the most funniest commedians. He made us laugh until we cried.
His show started promptly and lasted a full hour and a half...constant laughter...harder than we've laughed in a long time. Well worth the time and money. In today's economy we have to be careful about how we spend our money. We werent disappointed.
Saw the 7:00 pm show and Jeff was his usual funny self. He did some older material and some new material I had not heard before. He was great, better than seeing him on TV. If you want to see a very talented standup he is one not to miss if you get the chance. Enjoyed the show very much and would do it again.
Jeff Foxworthy has continued his "down-home", realistic, insightful brand of comedy with another hilarious show. Relying on his family and his observations he has once again managed to make the audience feel like a good friend listening to his stories. He spent over an hour and a half onstage and shotgunned one funny tidbit after another. Well worth the price of admission. Don't miss it!!!
my husband and i went to the 9:30 show and were wondering if we would be able to stay awake, but did not feel the least bit sleepy with Jeff up on stage, he was so entertaining and real. We laughed the whole show and couldn't believe that it was already 11pm and the show was ending.
My wife couldn't stop laughing. Jeff Foxworthy is one of the few "stars" who appreciates his audiences and doesn't come off as arrogant from fame. Comments about how money is difficult in these times and a nod to the military service people shows he is empathetic to his public and realizes where his millions of dollars came from. He is an original, authentic entertainer of observational humor in the style of Bill Cosby and Mark Twain. If you've seen his Comedy Channel Specials and seen him before in the "Blue Collar Series" you will recognize most of his routine. He gave a full 90 minute show and was due to repaeat in just under an hour a second show, something entertainers usually only did in Vegas. I kept hoping for some new material, perhaps stories from his new hit show .."5th Grader" but these were rare. Audiences love his old stuff, which I appreciate, but with a better mix,
A wonderful evening of laughter and entertainment! In our busy lives these days, it was a much needed evening of pure laughter and enjoyment!
What a great show! We have always loved Jeff Foxworthy, and have watched his comendy routines many times on TV, but we had never seen him live. The show was great, and we laughed the entire time!! (Our stomach muscles are STILL sore!) ; )~ Hope he comes to our area again!!
the man is a classic down-to-earth, in-yer-face, subtle yet to the point, real-listic hard-nosed, stubborn yet nothing is too crazy or impossible to accept as a fact life, scientifical physics-ical, in-politically correct, adjustable underwear redneck American. But his blood runs in every fire-breathing, throbbing proud heart of any Canadian or other backyard national heritage that can laugh at themselves with a more than a snicker. My sides ached after the first 5 minutes of his memorable show, almost short of being transported by guerney after the final standing ovation. My recommendation: don't drink a lot of fluids before being entertained or mesmerized by this one-man show, or nature will make you a laughing stock in yer own rank cause you'll pee yourself dry rather than miss one second of his untimely journey through "life". Oh yeah, natural bodily functions are something Foxworthy has studied & knows quite well from the sides of both genders!! A definite not-miss-for-anything which you will have spent yer hard-earned money on...and make you realize that "living life" is what it's all about!!
If you do not listen to Foxworthy on Sirius radio or seen the Blue Collar Comedy channel, he would be entertaining. The majority of his show was things that I have seen or heard multiple times. It would be nice to have gotten new(er) material. It was so predictable that I was thinking the punchlines before he was even done talking. The act should be refreshed, and I believe many people must feel the same. DTE (Pine Knob) was only about 25% full, I expected a better turn out!!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed the evenig, it was a present to my husband for father's day and he loved it! Of course our daughter and I did too, that was a bonus!!!! Hopefully he will be back next year so all of our kids can join us.
Everything that he did was something he had already done on the comedy channel. Yes he is funny but where was the new material. It was a lot of money to pay for a rerun.
We came - we saw - we laughed out loud! Watching him perform his comedy is like visiting with your funniest friend - and never any foul language! I recommended seeing his show to all my friends at work if they ever have a chance!
This is just his old stuff but still funny. If you never saw Blue Collar Comedy movie then it will be great.
My family had a ball! I can't wait until he comes back. We may go again!!!
If you've never seen him, you have to go. Much of his show you have already seen and heard if you've watched him video or if you have ever watched the Blue Collar Comedy Tours. But that's why you go. So you can hear it again. I've seen him several times, and I will go and see him again next time he is in the Detroit area. he does have new material such as he thinks that there is a law in Michigan about old people in that once they turn 65 we put them in a Buick and ship them off to Florida.
Just when you think he couldn't say anything funnier (and truer) - he came up with another story that just made you nod your head in agreement and hold your side from laughing so hard.
Plain & simple ... my boyfriend & I were not feeling real well when we drove to the concert, but once there ... with the beautiful setting of DTE and Jeff's humor ... we were feeling better in no time ! ! He made us forget our sorrows and be thankful for a wonderful evening ! ! !
Jeff gave a great show, delivering his wonderful observations on life for almost 2 solid hours! He's very natural and relaxed on stage, which added to the nice feel of the show. Would absolutely recommend that anyone who enjoys his humor should see him in person, if possible!
Jeff Foxworthy is a class act. It amazes me that a guy can walk out on stage with no more than a stool and a bottle of water, and deliver two hours of non-stop comedy that captivates his audience until the moment he says goodbye. This show is hilarious for all ages. Jeff had the ability to help people forget about the down economy and escape to an evening of laughter and entertainment. He has a way of looking at day to day life, and highlighting all the little things that make it funny.
