Jeff Bridges and the Abiders, and Jessie Bridges

    by islesfan68 on 9/6/14Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Great show! Jeff's daughter Jessie opened. She has a beautiful voice, plays guitar, and wrote some great songs. There was another talented guy playing guitar with her, sorry I forget his name. After an intermission, Jeff and the Abiders gave a us fun show with a great variety of music - rock n roll, country, cajun... just a lot of fun stuff. Very talented group! Jeff's stories were fun too. It's the best when you see a person enjoying doing what he is meant to do. The audience loved every minute. Good vibes all around.

    Abiders rocked the house!

by DirtyBoot on 9/6/14Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Diverse set, highly engaged with audience, informal which made you really enjoy the music- like you were sitting in on a private jam session. Musical director is an incredible musician- in fact Jeff has surrounded himself with incredible talent. Over 2 1/2 hours of music which was great! Encore a little too long. Great show and so nice to have them in Boston!

    Engaged with audience

by onesexygoat on 9/7/13South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe - Stateline

I was heading to South Lake Tahoe in a couple of weeks and went online to check out entertainment options. Found this concert available with only four seats left. The venue is small and intimate with a bar on either side of the stage each with 2 bartenders. Fast friendly service. I really enjoyed the band particularly Jeff engaging the audience with a story before each song. All the musicians were excellent.

    Tight band good show

by Raydrcat on 8/25/13South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe - Stateline

Jeff Bridges delivered just like he has done in every role that he has played in the movies. Good country rock band in a great, smaller venue with great sound. He and his band play a mix of original tunes and covers, all of which hit the mark. He has a good-natured and relaxed vibe, like he is doing what he enjoys. He has assembled a talented group of musicians.

    The Dude does abide

by Anonymous on 8/15/13Uptown Theatre Napa - Napa

I knew Mr Bridges was a renaissance man of many, many talents but I had no idea..... It was as entertaining to listen to his dialogue as it was to hear his music. He has assembled a wonderful band with a great repertoire. They played a wide variety of tunes including the Creedence. A truly entertaining evening. Would I go again, most definitely.

    Amazing Performer and Musician

by GoldenSong on 8/11/13Uptown Theatre Napa - Napa

Jeff gave us all of himself - as true artists always do. This is the third concert of his I have attended and his voice just keeps getting better and better and The Abiders are a fantastic band. He is a warm, talented guy who really connects with his audience. The Uptown Theater is a great venue. There is not a bad seat in the house!! Keep on rockin' Man!.......xx Kathryn

Napa theatre is intimate & beautiful

by DisneyParent101 on 8/10/13Uptown Theatre Napa - Napa

Great show! Loved the intimate & beautiful theatre in downtown Napa. It was wonderful to be able to bring a drink to your seat to enjoy the show and relax. Jeff bridges had several family members in the the audience which made the evening extra special. It was also fun to meet and listen to his daughter, Jessie, perform.

    Jeff Bridges

by piscado on 8/9/13Uptown Theatre Napa - Napa

Really liked him and his sound,, Napa Up Town was a good venue Too bad they amped up the sound so loud it was hard to hear him sing sometimes. We came to "hear him sing" . Sorry way to loud for me. The duo with his daughter was great. You could hear them. The band and lead guitar was great,,,,, just loud,

    Disappointed

by Bumski22 on 8/7/13Harrah's Reno Convention Center - Reno

Primary problem with the event was the opening. 45 minutes with his daughter's songs was way too much! Rest of concert wes ok although the only song we really enjoyed was Credence Clearwater number. Thought the drummer was great!! Wished Jeff would have done more songs from Crazy Heart.

Jeff Bridges and Harrahs not a great event

by ElisaW on 8/7/13Harrah's Reno Convention Center - Reno

First, Harrah's kind of misrepresented the event and seating. It was in their convention center which is a small venue with lots of posts in the way. They also cancelled all of their "cheap" seats......because of the posts. Should have cut the price on all the seats. I ended up in the last row (not what was pictured on the seating chart - that would have been the set up bar) adn almost behind a post. For $57 I would have preferred a better option. Also, Jeff was on the last show of an 8 city tour. Half of their equipment failed and had issues. Has no one ever heard of a sound check? I'm a working musician....I've never had so much equipment fail in one 90 minute time period.....and I'm used to doing 4 hour shows any whre from 2-4 times a week, every week. Their sound guy couldn't find a low range he didn't like. I think his mid range must have been not working. Yikes. Jeff was okay. But htey need to lose the Crosby Stills Nash tune. If you can't sing tight harmonies...DON'tT. It started out as a train wreck and never got better.

We thought the show was great! We enjoyed Jesse Bridges, his daughter, opening the show and she is very talented. He was right about her song writing abilities.. Jeff was very entertaining and his band is amazing- especially his partner/guitar player Wow

    A highly recommended experience

by JGPreston on 8/6/13Uptown Theatre Napa - Napa

We went because my wife is a big fan of Jeff as an actor, and I really had no idea what to expect of the music...but I was quite impressed and really enjoyed the show. It started with a happy surprise when Jeff came onstage, unannounced, to introduce his daughter Jessie as the opening act. Jeff's band, The Abiders, is superb; Bill Flores adds a wonderful palette of color with his pedal steel, button accordion and electric 12-string, and musical director Chris Pelonis plays a great lead guitar with a little tasty organ. A relaxed and professional evening with a generous helping of music, warmly hosted by Jeff. A great night out.

The Dude Abides and The Abiders rock!

by buddhabuddy on 8/6/13South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe - Stateline

Jeff and Jess Bridges and the Abiders and the guitar player whose father is the drummer. Suberb musicianship, the band is so tight, so clean it was a pleasure. The loving father sharing his daughters talents with the world. The exuberant Jess with her soft, mournful, soulful tunes.

by MissKitty69 on 8/6/13South Shore Room at Harrah's Lake Tahoe - Stateline

The sound at this venue was really good. The band was tight and the choice of songs was suprisingly good. Plus, Jeff Bridges is just so damn adorable. I haven't been this entertained in awhile. :)

    wanting to love it

by Anonymous on 8/5/13Uptown Theatre Napa - Napa

Wonderful venue, Jeff Bridges has great stage presence and a voice that I love to listen to However,10 songs sung by his daughter Jessie were just too many. 3-5 would have been fine. The band was just too loud for the setting so we could not enjoy Jeff as much as we had hoped to. Disappointed in Marin

    Jeff Bridges is amazing!

by carolvh on 8/5/13Uptown Theatre Napa - Napa

Jeff Bridges is an awesome performer. He is an Academy Award winning actor who also is an amazing musician, guitar and keyboard, and a great singer songwriter! His band members are all amazing musicians. At 63, he is having fun with this tour! His daughter Jessie opened for him and later joined him for several songs. Lots of interaction with the audience.
