Jeff Bridges is a great live act

by Hansons on 9/3/14Pantages Theatre - Minneapolis

Jeff Bridges has a voice that carries well in a live show. He was warm and personal and respected his band for all their talent. He seemed to be having so much fun just playing with them. Loved the venue and the sound was perfect. He joked and talked and mentioned many personal things about Minnesota. He did 3 more songs after standing ovation. Was a great night at the Pantages.

Thinking the evening would be entertaining enough to enjoy dinner and a show I was amazed at the diversity, musical expertise, and excellence of Jessie Bridges as well as Jeff and the Abiders. By the middle of their first tune I was tapping my toes and turning my chair to watch. All the musicians were not only accomplished but entertaining. Jeff's comments between songs made the whole performance that much more fascinating as he told his short stories and background of each piece. Very surprised. Very enjoyable evening. The encore set was several songs - putting a very satisfactory cap on the evening's musical performance. And - Jessie very much follows in her father's musical footsteps.

    Low Expectations, High Results

by Birchman on 9/3/14Birchmere - Alexandria

Mr. Bridges is a personality. He is a great front man, dedicating show to Robin, who was looking down on all of us. After an enthusiastic, if slightly inept, opening performance by his daughter, Jeff's band opened with a doozey -- Blue Car by Greg Brown. Highlight of the evening, later, a nice twangy version of So You Want to Be a Rock and Roll Star from the Summer of Love and the Byrds. Not bad. Fun show with competent playing, good singing, nice relaxed sound and like sitting in your living room with friends. Got more than I expected; but then, lowered expectations ARE the key to a contented life.....

Jeff Bridges & The Abiders Did Not Disappoint

by BNAPhilly on 9/3/14Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

I've always admired Jeff Bridges for his work as an actor, artist, musician, photographer, and philanthropist. His show is not all about pyrotechnics and special effects ... it's about good music performed by a man who clearly LOVES music. Thanks to Jeff, Jessie and the Abiders for a great night of music in an incredible venue!!!

Jeff Bridges is the Real Deal

by BethesdaDad on 9/3/14Birchmere - Alexandria

Some famous people, including actors, get the "rock star" bug and go on tour for the experience because they can. But Jeff Bridges was a musician first, and has genuine talent. If you saw the movie that earned him an Oscar, "Crazy Heart", that is close to what you get seeing him live. He is as natural and unpretentious as they come. He's just a good guy. He plays a lot of covers of favorite musicians and songwriters, from his friend since fourth grade John Goodwin to Tom Waits, Bob Dylan and Greg Brown. The music ranges from flat out rockers to introspective folk, with a lot of country in between. He tells a lot of great stories and even made an appeal on behalf of Share Our Strengths about school free meal programs for the poor. The Abiders are a talented and tight band, and there is a lot of obvious camaraderie. You will come away moved by Jeff's humanity. You will also likely have had a really good time.

    Jeff Bridges was awesome!

    by jennifer53 on 9/3/14Birchmere - Alexandria

I bought tickets for my husband and 2 grown sons - they are HUGE Big Lebowski fans and one son has a life-size poster of "The Dude" in his bedroom. I, of course, also wanted to see him because I have always loved his movies and thought he was really attractive and he is all that at even at 64!! We were very lucky to have a front row table and all of us enjoyed the concert immensely - had no idea Jeff Bridges was such a versatile musician. His band, The Abiders were also talented musicians and no one wanted them to stop playing! Probably the sweetest moment was when Jeff Bridges hopped on stage to introduce his daughter, Jessie Bridges, who opened the concert - such a proud father. Then at the encore Jessie came back onstage and did a few songs with her father and his band. Would highly recommend seeing this show any time they play!

Jeff Bridges and The Abiders - Wellmont Theatre

by BigBlackCow on 9/2/14The Wellmont Theater - Montclair

Great show all-around and I highly recommend seeing them if you have the chance. Jessie Bridges (Jeff's daughter) opened the show with some nice material and a great voice. JB and the Abiders then took the stage and went through a set of songs that included stuff from Crazy Heart and the Big Lebowski, including some CCR, Dylan, and Byrds covers.

One of the most amazing performances I've seen!!!

by HMM82 on 9/2/14The Wellmont Theater - Montclair

Jeff Bridges and The Abiders could not have put on a better show than they did. My boyfriend and I did not want the show to end. I was so happy to also be introduced to his amazingly talented singer/songwriter daughter, Jessie Bridges. Such a beautiful, talented woman. The lyrics to her music are so relatable, and her songs are songs you just want to keep hitting the repeat button. We are both such HUGE Jeff Bridges (actor and musician) fans. Truly hope we can see him perform live again. If you have the opportunity to attend one of his shows on tour, definitely take advantage!!!

This concert was awesome. They played FOREVER.......even the encore was 3 songs. His daughter Jessie was very humble about being part of her dad's tour. And the bass player...... WOW !! Hope he gets dicovered for bigger and better things. Awesome band, awesome time. We brought friends w/ us who had never heard Jeff Bridges sing before. They also loved him and ended up buying his CD.

    by Cixi5 on 9/1/14The Paramount - Huntington

The show was outstanding, my husband and I were really impressed with Jeff Bridges. He was so down to earth, and gave the night and music a very chill vibe. He just seems to appreciative of his career, family , and friends. He dedicated the night to Robin Williams as well, and this was such a lovely gesture.

Jeff bridges show was an amazing night

    by capital75 on 8/31/14Ryman Auditorium - Nashville

Jeff Bridges show at the Ryman was the perfect night of amazing entertainment. Starting with his opening act his daughter Jessi Bridges, who got the night started just right. Then when Jeff Bridges came on stage he had a great laid back attitude that made the night full like a nice intimate time with a close friend. I was very excited to hear his songs from Crazy Heart to some of the songs that had touched his life as well. I also enjoyed all of the songs from his album, which I will definitely be picking up soon. just a fun night with great music, so glad I had the chance to be apart of it all.

How can you not like Jeff Bridges? He is a talented and humble man. With that said, the concert was below par for Nashville.
