This play was awesome. Good acting and good story line.
Overall the play was cool, but it did't match the title. I thought based on the title it would focus more on the married people out here that's lying and cheating talking about "i'm separated" or "I live with my roommate" knowing dag on well they married!
It was very "chitlin circuit-ish" but it wasn't bad.
The play was amazing. I really enjoyed the liveliness & energy of the cast members. And it was perfect considering I'm getting married in June. The best concept I got from the play was instead of stepping out on your husband/wife or giving up on your marriage through the hard times, you both should pray and ask God for guideness. All of the actors did great, and Chrisette definitely gave me chills when she sang her songs. Great job to the writer as well.
So, the play was extremely overrated and more suited for small playhouses. This is no reflection on the actors/actresses they worked with what they had. The title doesn't reflect what the main theme of the play is about. There was 1 five minute episode whereby the characters were married with the women wanting to have an affair and the married man didn't. After that it was about a woman trying convince/show her boyfriend what he would be missing if didn't "step up to the plate" a.k.a. marry her. There is no substance in the story line. Also the seating at Warner is terrible for the price of their tickets.
I went to the first show. It was pretty good but it was too long.
This play!! This play!!! This play!!!!! OMGGGGGG Je'Caryous Johnson did an amazing job from the cast to the script. I am speechless about the AWESOMENESS of the play. It was unpredictable and the message was clear. I was completely in love with Married But Single. Mr. Je'Caryous Johnson this is the PLAY OF THE YEAR!!!!! You deserve an Oscar.
The ad was for a married couple having problems. The show was about a girl trying to get a ring and get married. Probably would not have gone if I knew that was the storyline.
I took my daughter “Date night” we saw the play on Friday the ENTIRE cast was AMAZING they did an FANTASTIC job! Chrisette Michele as ALWAYS was Beautiful I love her new look as well…Lisa was also stunning I’d go see the play all over again...ALL the guys were great and could sing WOW…I give the show an A++
