I was blown away by the performance of this show. I strongly recommend it to anyone who enjoys music from all eras of life. These young actors did such an amazing job in their performance. I can't wait to see what else they will bring in the future. It's also very educational in the sense of the life story of the performer being portrayed. Highly recommended!!!
This was an awesome play the actors and music was great.
This was a great play. I learned so much more than expected about the life of Rick James. The cast was outstanding. Stokely was absolutely fantastic!! Hope to see him in more stage plays.
He drinks could have been a little bit more reasonable pricing.
Mr Johnson has once again amazed us bringing a larger than life icon to the stage . I was really impressed learning things about Rick James that I never heard or read about . I was also impressed that the play got the blessing of his daughter which I believe is really impressive and important. I definitely recommend this play and I’m looking forward to the next . This was an amazing performance

The show was very entertaining! Learning the true lifestyle of Rick James was interesting and exciting! The show had it all; Bright lights, good music, super dance moves & great singing! I loved the entire production and performance! It’s worth seeing more than once!

This play gave me new insights into the life of Rick James. I learned quite a bit about him that I did not know. The music score was absolutely wonderful. The singing was heart gripping and brought tears when you heard the audience get involved with singing. There was not one song that I did not remember and sing with the rest of the audience. I had not been to that venue before. It was an excellent place to host this play. I am sure that as they travel the country, others will enjoy it as much as we did. Thank you.
The show was phenomenal. The actors were so good. The man playing the young Rick James did amazing and he can sing. One of the best shows yet, I look forward to more shows like this one.
Overall a good and well-written story. Here are the major points that need adjustment: 1. Young Rick James - this part is not for the current actor. His voice is not strong enough and he is not rough enough 2. Stokley was great! 3. Praise dancers? Skaters? The guy in the catsuit? WHYYYYYYY??? These elements do not add to the story and make the play less professional - makes it amateurish. Would they have these elements in a Broadway play? NOOOO!!!!! 4. The play started to run long near the end. Everone was getting ancy and some people started to leave. 5. The "I'm Rick James bitch"line needed more build-up to the quote. Some people missed it
It was an amazing show. I bought the tickets for my husband but we both enjoyed the show. Amazing job by the cast.

This production is great. I am glad the Rick James story was told. From childhood thru Super Stardom. This was a date night to remember. I can't wait for Mr. Johnson to tell the next story.
I had a phenomenal time! I learned so much that I didn't know about Rick James story. The relationship with his mother was so wonderful to learn about. The cast was AMAZING!
My experience was great. The music and the professionals of theatre and arts were outstanding in their performances. Learned things that I wasn’t of aware of about Rick James. Everyone were amazing.
A must see! The actors did a phenomenal job! You don't have to be a Rick James fan to go see this. The music is so enjoyable and takes you back down memory lane! There was alot about Rick James that I was not aware of but very interesting. Very entertaining - just go see it!
Super Freak: The Rick James Story was excellent! It left me wanting more. The actors, singers, dancers, stage, band, writers, directors, etc. did an amazing job bringing the story to life and oh what a tribute to Rick James! Excellent!!!
I enjoyed the play overall. It was a little slow in the beginning but it was very interesting.
