Writer/Director/Producer Je’Caryous Johnson who brought you the sold out hit play, “Married But Single” and the hilarious romantic comedy, “Two Can Play That Game” is back with another one – Je’Caryous Johnson presents SET IT OFF based on the hit iconic movie by the same name. Fans will get to relive the ride that made them love SET IT OFF the movie, but this time around they will experience it LIVE ON STAGE.
The hit heist, cult classic movie you love is now a stage play and coming to your city. The same iconic characters – Frankie, Tisean (T.T.), Stoney and Cleo are back bringing the same action packed, adrenaline filled robbery scenes and emotionally charged antics against an equally exciting music soundtrack that will have you on the edge of your seat. Multi–platinum selling rapper DA BRAT will be starring as Cleopatra “CLEO” Sims, the role originally played by Queen Latifah in the movie. Fans will recall SET IT OFF centers on four childhood friends who spent a lifetime struggling to move away from the mean streets of their neighborhood. The system stole their dreams and now the four are determined to steal them back. With their world in turmoil and their backs against the wall, they decide to seek their fortune - literally. Targeting the banks of Los Angeles, Cleo, Stony, Tisean (T.T.) and Frankie rob the city's most vulnerable financial institutions. Flush with cash, they discover that mo’ money equals mo’ problems.
It was so much fun! Lots of laughs and the cast does a great job of portraying the characters as they were intended. Don’t expect the movie, because it’s an adaptation, but very close!
My experience was great, I will be going to another play by Je’Caryous. Also my experience at Orpheum was great, looking forward to another event at Orpheum!
The comic ways that the people die in the show is hilarious. I love it.
I took my cousins who just kiss their mom 3 months ago, they absolutely loved it. It was my second time seeing it lol

This was my first time seeing play featured by Je'Caryous Johnson. My fiance and I saw the play in Los Angeles. It was a packed house. The cast delivered an exceptional original movie to stage play experience. So the dots were really connected well. Great job Mr. Johnson and phenomenal cast.

The play was amazing from the start to finish. The cast was great! The Brat's performance was incredible she really did an amazing job playing Cleo. She was so entertaining and funny. Loved the show period.
the show was great!!! the location was great!! the production was great! the cast was wonderful - it was a overall a great night out!! I loved how they really did bring the movie back to life in such a creative way! Overall worth every dollar!!! My only issues were the lack of respect from those LATE ARRIVALS, TALKING AND USING THEIR PHONES WHILE THE SHOW WAS ON!! when they were initially requested not to........
The venue,while we had to had proof to get inside .there was no social distance.the seas were close no space to stretch your legs.the place smelled of weed strong.had to get up 4 times,to let people in and out,once they had complete wrong row.the play was great.but will never gi there again
Absolutely knocked it out of the park! Better than I expected. Stellar cast, they looked just like the originals… everyone was great. Cleo, Stoney, Frankie and TT. Even the supervisor… absolutely loved it. Funny, emotional and fun!!
Oh my I enjoyed this play and the video excellent cast. I had gotten my money back due to being post-phoned but decided to go for it again. Yes, when it comes back I will be there to see it again.
Everyone played their part well, but Vanessa as Frankie was outstanding and a little surprising. Everyone was great!!! Thanks

It was so much of a pleasure to be there and see all the actors and actresses do their best Especially the Brat… I knew the House would be packed because of her alone. The performance was amazing, can’t wait for the next one.
The show was amazing. I feel organization regarding purchasing items at the end was very disorganized. I left without purchasing a souvenir. 😞

They were regular chairs aluminum I guess you can call them but they weren’t comfortable especially when you have a bad back I was in the back row and expect to be sitting in those type of chairs thought they would be at theater chairs
