The production was EXCELLENT The cast did a GREAT JOB
The Met is a very nice venue. The whole experience was excellent.
Paid extra for box seats, very bad View and very uncomfortable. Was looking forward to Big Daddy Kane playing Nino, he ended up playing a cop. Very disappointed evening!
This stage play was a step above a High School musical. The sound in the Philly Met was terrible. The singing was pitchy and the choreography was very basic. The only saving grace was Treach, Allen Payne and Gary Dourdan acting skills … Treach really nailed Nino. Allen and Gary showed they are seasoned actors!
Started on time. Easy access to get to my seat. Music and actors were great. Story line was awesome.
This was a great production! Great cast and a really good time. Can't wait for the next Je'Caryous Johnson event!!
Only reason this isn’t a 5star is due to the venue. I believe it was a little all over the place, but the casting was spot on! I didnt Know what to expect when I learned Flex was Pookie, but let me tell you. He did that!! It was funny, intense and the acting was phenomenal. I truly enjoyed the show and am looking forward to any future plays.
The Play was awesome!!!!! Everyone did a great job!!!!
The play was awesome. It made you feel you were reliving New Jack City. The famous lines were said, the infamous truck was driving down the street, it was musical, well chosen cast, Pookie Pookie Pookie, what a great job Flex…..
New Jack. City makes us all of a certain age think of good times. It was fun. Everyone did a great job. Flex, Ice T, Big Daddy, Treach, Gary. My only criticism is that the vocals and music need some refinement. The theme music became a bit redundant. There was an expectation that Big Daddy Kanes role would somehow include what he’s masterful at and it never happened. We all know Martin exaggerated the dog scene and cemented that variant into the culture. We were all waiting for this. The production accomplished what it needed to accomplish. The criticism is what held back a 5 star rating. Overall, I recommend you see it. It was a great night out.
The New Jack City play was great…the actors did great and the production was well put together…BUT the people in the audience were loud and ghetto shouting out their family members names and trying to tell the actors what to do! They talked the entire show! Ruined the whole experience 🤬
I’d give it a 6 out of 10 ….I love Big Daddy Kane & Allen Payne anyway but Treach & Flex we’re great too…but without them I could have missed it
I enjoyed the play n the acting along with the story line was good.
I’m hoping the problems were due to it being opening night. Microphones on the actors were terrible-you would think they never used microphones before. Acting from some of the actors was sub par. The audience was on my nerves-completely inappropriate-yelling profanity at the actors-unacceptable. At one point Treach’s mike went out. If they just shut up, they would have heard him-he was projecting his voice quite well. The positive-the set was awesome! Whoever designed the set-did a great job.
The Show was Nice and well put together, unbelievably good like the movie was, Cast amazing.
