The story was not developed. I left with more questions than answers. I understand that you can't cover everything but there should be a reason for including some information. It should be apparent at some point why the info was included. The music and singers were fantastic.
For those who followed Rick James as well as for those who didn’t, it was a good show. The music didn’t fail, and I learned a lot more about his past, than I was aware of.
Loved it! Can't wait for the Luther Vandross & Teddy Pendergrass shows.

It keep you interested and very informed how he struggled with his life. Ty James is a very pleasant and friendly person. That was very nice of her to sign my book. I had a WONDERFUL time.
My husband and I really enjoyed this show. Acting was well done, music and impressions of famous people were very entertaining. We docked one star because the part of the story when Rick James appears to travel to Africa and completely change his look and personality is not well explained. That part left many questions that can’t be answered by Wikipedia, etc.
Extremely disappointed. Story line was weak and came off as a satire. Felt like I was at a highschool musical.
This was a great show!!! The acting was great, the set was beautiful, and it was fun! Stokely Williams was awesome. Vocally, he was amazing as usual, but his acting was great, and he did great dancing, as well. I am so glad I went. Don't miss out on the chance to see this show in your city!
Stockley did the da*m thing!!! Whoever played Teena Marie captured her sound and stage presence. The singer / actress who portrayed Rick James mother, would love to hear more from her….Give it to me baby!!!!!
