    Slow and boring

by D. M. on 1/29/19Coronado Performing Arts Center - Rockford

I have seen many magic shows. And always wondered why? I never heard of Jay Owenhouse?? Thats because he's very boring and the show is very slow and dark.

    Great Illusions!

by Deangoodes on 1/21/19Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

My 8 year old son and I enjoyed the show immensely! The illusions were well coordinated and unbelievable. Jay was very personable and a professional illusionist. The tigers added a level of danger yet were quite adorable. Two thumbs up for this show!

    Amazing show

by D. on 1/20/19Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

This show is a must see. I wanted to be upclose and purchased VIP tickets, what included a 'Backstage Meet & Greet'. This experience exceeded my expectations. Jay shook hands with everybody asking for our names and introducing himself. We were upclose to Shekinah and Sheena. He told us about them, and 'Save The Wild-Save The World. Also answered a couple of questions. It was awesome. And the show was amazing. Definitely will try to see his show again.

    Heartfelt

    by M. R. on 1/20/19Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

Always been a fan of magic and illusionists. Waited almost 2 years to get a chance to see this and was not dissatisfied. All though i expected to see more tricks / stunts, Jay definitely hit the heart strings and that was more valuable than anything else.

    amazing show

by littlebear805 on 4/29/18Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza - Thousand Oaks

I went to the show last Saturday, and it was incredibly inspiring. It is so great to know there are other people out there who care about animal conservation! The tigers were beautiful and Jay was so authentic and genuine. He interacted with the crowd and displayed an array of illusions. He helped me better understand those beautiful animals and I left encouraged there are still good people in the world. I enjoyed the family aspect and appreciated his vulnerability with the audience! Life can be dark and rough and it helps to know you are not alone in your feelings. All around amazing way to spend a Saturday night!

So profound I have to share

by Nomocar on 4/25/18Scherr Forum - Thousand Oaks

Tonight we went to see Jay Owenhouse the illusionist. First of all, it was a GREAT show. Jay Owenhouse's illusions were awesome. His tigers were beautiful. His family just love. I laughed. I fully enjoyed myself. I felt engaged & just happy to be there sharing such a great time with Jeff & the kids. Seeing their faces enjoying every moment. But I didn't expect to cry. Sob might be more accurate. Before the show I "randomly" turned right to the bio pages. The way he talked about his kids was so authentic. I felt like I knew them & loved their essence. Then I read about his wife off 22 years who passed away in 2009, as a mother of still young children. His pure love for her was evident in his words. And his Faith in God also presented with such power. At that moment I felt connected. At the end of such a incredibly fun entertaining show, Jay referenced the hard times they had been through. He reached out to the audience & expressed knowing that there were people going through hard times (cue the tears). I wish I had a ‘tape recorder,’ because never could I articulate what he said with such astounding depth. He used a puzzle and illustrated how life’s challenges can throw us off. He moved the puzzle as he talked about God and the greater plan through not only difficult times but through tragedy. Things that don’t make sense. But in the end the puzzle comes together. This man’s words held so much authority because he & his children have lived through tragedy. His wife died. Their mother died. And his message was that through the pain, there can be peace. I have no doubt he & their children still love her with their whole beings. And that she is a still an essential part of their every day existence & purpose. They were able to put the puzzle together. And maintain their faith in God & live in faith. The ultimate peace I felt through the sobbing (that is apparently possible), was more a gift than I ever ever could explain. Other than that God brought us there, together with their family. We share something different than most. I don’t know how our puzzle will come together, but tonight God showed me so clearly that it will. I met him after the show. We talked. He will pray for us. I know he will. God, I know I have felt lost in faith this last year. I have been angry & asked Why?But tonight you reminded me just how present You are.

    Jay Owenhouse Dare To Believe

by OnliKacy on 4/24/18Scherr Forum-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza - Thousand Oaks

I met Jay and his family backstage before the show. I was able to get within two feet of his magnificent tigers. He has a beautiful, very spiritual, family. Tragically he lost his wife fairly recently and this sadness throughout the program was evident. Unfortunately, and I mean this in a very constructive way, his show seemed somewhat adlib. His beautiful tigers were a very small part of the show (the white tiger had been injured recently). Jay made it all ok at the end of the show to speak about his belief in God. Most entertainers would never take the chance of “offending” anyone in the audience. This was a beautiful moment. God bless Jay and his family.

    Very enjoyable

by thmutt on 1/23/18Coronado Performing Arts Center - Rockford

I tried to follow how he would do the illusions but was constantly amazed and baffled by what I was seeing. He also had a very good message about the important things in life. It was a great show and he has a great sense of humor.

The show was disappointing and not nearly what we had expected. The quality of the acts was well below anything we have seen in the past in regards to an illusionist. We left very unsatisfied for what we paid and the time spent.

    Not very good

by tedybearm41 on 5/12/17Embassy Theatre - Fort Wayne

If you are into cheesy corny magic, this is your show. The tigers were one of the very few interesting parts and most of that was watching them drink milk from a baby bottle. This is the first time I have walked out before a show is over. I would have walked out sooner but I thought I paid more for the tickets then I did.

    Jay Owenhouse = AMAZING

by Kolthill on 5/10/17Embassy Theatre - Fort Wayne

Jay Owenhouse's show was amazing. The two tigers were a bonus! His children all having integral parts of the show made it even more special. Jay has a special gift and I'm glad he shared it with Fort Wayne.
