Don't get me wrong.... I love Jay Leno!!! But I have to say that the event was somewhat disappointing. The whole thing felt like it was rushed! Like..... let's get this over with as quickly as possible. It was like he couldn't talk fast enough and couldn't stop pacing back and forth. I'm a HUGE Jay Leno fan, but would much rather watch him on his tv show where he seems more relaxed and much more at ease.
Jay Leno is hilarious on TV and also presents an approachable, regular persona. You feel like you could be friends with the guy. His show at Beau Rivage did not disappoint. Not only did he continuously crack me up, I found myself repeating the jokes to friends and family for days! :) And, true to his TV persona, he had that same "guy next door" attitude instead of that of a Hollywood hotshot. He told lots of jokes about his family and personal history that I'd never heard on the show. Some of his opening jokes did sound familiar, but most of the show was new material. And he kept it clean for an hour and a half instead of trying to shock the audience with toilet humor. It's a show I could have taken my parents to without the fear of cringing at every other word.
Jay had me laughing the entire time. He interacted with the audience as well as just telling jokes. He was very funny and you could tell he enjoyed doing it.
Excellent show. He started exactly on time and gave an uninterrupted 2 hour performance. His stand-up is masterful, professional and funny as hell! I laughed till I cried and "almost" wet my pants. Leno is the best.
Saw Jay Leno in Biloxi and his show was outstanding!! Hysterical throughout the entire show! Amazing that here's an entertainer who can deliver without the use of filthy or vulgar language. Highly recommend his show!!!
I really enjoyed watching Jay Leno on stage. I didnt know what to expect with watching him live but it exceeded my expectations. I laughed out loud many times! It was great and would do it again!
Three friends and myself enjoyed the Jay Leno show very much. We laughed so hard. And our seats were great. Loved going to Beau Rivage Theater.
He was great. Would see him again. The time went quickly.
Leno was great! I would definitely tell anyone and everyone to go see him if they have the chance. I would go see him again. I knew I would enjoy the show, but he surpassed my expectations. He was fast fire for an hour and a half. Great. So glad I went.
The theater was comfortable, except for the enormous amount of perfume the woman behind me bathed in. A little more ventilation, please. Jay was, as always, a scream. Would do it again.
I can't wait until the next time he's in our area because I will be there --- again!
Non-stop enterainment from the moment Jay walked on the stage. Best thing about watching him live was...he is the same person on stage that you see on TV. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
He talked non stop for about an hour and a half. Current events, personal and political. Outrageously funny. I loved the fact that he could entertain without having to use curse words. That is talent.
Jay was great! How anyone can come on to a stage and talk and entertain you for an hour and 20 minutes, nonstop, without any notes or script is beyond me. I laughed continually throughout the whole show. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed his performance!
What a great way to celebrate our 32nd anniversary that we both forgot in August. The theater is very nice and I don't think there are any bad seats. Jay could have included a little more local humor but it was a wonderful treat to see him in person.
My husband and I attended Jay's 7pm show in Biloxi, MS on Nov. 21, 2009. He delivered a "side splitting" show for 1 1/2 hours. He's fairly clean and not offensive. We were truly impressed and loved every bit of the show. Very glad to have made the 2 1/2 hour drive to see him "live". A real funny man, is he!
One of the best shows I've seen in Biloxi. Just like a 90 min. monologue on his TV shows. No dirty jokes, nothing controversial about politics, just good funny stuff.
I liked it, but he needs some newer jokes. The VCR story is a little too old.
excellent!! we ended up sitting on the ceiling, but since it was justhim it didnt matter!you could hear him very well. he was very funny and it was worth all those bucks.
